I am unable to complete the "Ancient Armory quest; the game thinks I am missing the last powercell
I know this is a common problem, but most people usually have just overlooked a power cell. I do not believe I have. After spending hours researching all the locations and quadruple checking every location, I am confident that I have not missed a power cell. Yet I still have only 2 in my inventory, and the quest still shows 2/3 power cells. What can I do?

I had to use a cheat sheet on the fandom page about all the locations. Once finished it wasn't really worth getting.

When you reply, acting like you know everything,
but in reality you don't know ♥♥♥♥♥ about it...

I agree I'm playing on ultra hard and that one hit 0 dmg is not worthy at all (you'll get rekt on the 2nd hit if you ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that bad and get it in the 1st place), I prefer to run a full stealth armor and abuse the slowdown on jump and/or Concentrate =)

How far in the game are you? The final cell is in a place you go more or less before the final battle.
(And on a side note, I still kinda like the armour. It is situational, but sometimes ignoring that one hit from time to time can be a life-saver, for other things, other alternatives are way better. And I also kinda like that there's not one armour to rule them all.)

Well stated and I agree. Like in real life I like changing outfits for where I am going and what I'll be doing.

I am at the point where I have to "rest before the final battle"; I have been to Gaia's heart. I'll outline what I have checked and can send screenshots if need be:

1) the ruins Aloy falls into as a child. returned as an adult and got the power cell behind the rock formation
2) all-mother's heart. returned when it re-opened and got the power cell through the vent behind the locked door
3) maker's fall, went to the tippy-top of the mountain and got the power cell lying on the ground next to the rappel point
4) the grave-hoard, opened the locked door during the main story and got the power cell on the ground next to the torch. (scouring the internet, one person said the power cell can spawn in a different location here--in an alcove before the deathbringer, after the globe room. no idea how accurate that is but i checked there too and there was nothing there).
5) Gaia's heart. went left after sylens' lab before rappelling down into the ruins and got the power cell on the shelf of the blue-lit room

So, the problem is you think you should have 5 cells in your inventory but there's only 2 there and the quest log also tells you, you have only 2?

Have you already installed some in the bunker?

Quest progression has you install 2 at first, then 3 more for 5 total. So they have 4 of 5, yet all 5 locations lack power cells. So something bugged out, either one was missing or it just didn't get counted as being in their inventory. I assume they checked to make sure the quest tracker didn't just glitch and they actually had the last cell.

I'm having similar issue here. I have completed the Maker's End and Grave Hoard, but somehow I only have 1/3 power cells. I'm not sure if I missed anything, it's been a while since I last played the game but I only have 1 when I should have 2 by now.

I did went back to Maker's End and Grave Hoard, they are not there anymore.

@BearlyMad
Power Cell 01: Underground Bunker
Power Cell 02: All-Mother Temple
Power Cell 03: Maker’s End
Power Cell 04: The Grave Hoard
Power Cell 05: GAIA Prime

Yes, 1 and 2 is completed, I'm in the armory... To get it to release the clamp, I should find 3, 4 and 5. I've completed Maker's End and Grave hoard, only Gaia Prime is left. I should have 2 out of 3 by now, but I only have 1. I went back to Maker's End and Grave Hoard just in case I missed any of them, they are not there anymore.

Could this be the reason -> Picking up a power cell does not initiate an autosave so if you died shortly afterwards you would have lost that cell. So maybe go back to the ones you know you already picked up?
