How do I skip the intro movie?

Every time I start the game I have to watch the intro movie. It's like 5 minutes long and there doesn't seem to be a way to skip it.

Seriously!!!! WTF!!!!

There's got to be a way to skip it, I just can't find it. I've tried every button on the keyboard with no luck. I really want to disable this. Does anyone know how?

Alt-F4 ... if anyone else is looking for it.

It asks if you want to quit the game, just click 'no' and it takes you to the menu.

Still, totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up that it plays every single time. Who's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ genius who thought that would be a good idea?

Start a new game, hit a couple of save points, quit. At that point relaunching the game should skip the intro.

Somebody else asked about this just last week. Steam has a search function but so many people just can't be bothered to use it! Heck, you can even find the answer to this just from a simple internet search!

Oh, and there's even a mod over on the HZD Nexus that includes an option to block the intro movie permanently, that way you never, ever have to see it again unless you click "Extras" and select the option to play the Intro movie. Nope, I won't include a link to it, if everyone else is going to be lazy then I see no reason why I shouldn't be lazy as well! Consider it practise at using search functions!

Really? Oh, that's so funny! But hey, nothing I said was untrue, there are a whole lot of people who just can't be bothered to use either the Steam search function or a generic internet search. This game has been out for years, but it seems you figured you were the very first person to want to know how to skip the intro movie!

I made a rather simple, somewhat basic and generic, observational comment, one that is actually true. But you retaliate by calling me names and attempting to insult me! Awesome! Well, they say the truth hurts, so I guess you must have been rather upset by my comment! Learn to lighten up a little and realise that you don't have to take everything quite so seriously! There's literally a search function on steam.

I guarantee if you typed "intro" into it, you'd find it.

Nothing I said was useful? Well let's see, first off I informed you that somebody else asked the very same question just last week. In fact, when you posted to begin this discussion that other discussion was still visible on the first page of discussions! YOU just didn't bother looking!

Secondly I informed you that there's a mod available on HZD Nexus that includes an option to block the intro movie. Some people would likely consider that to be useful info! Just because you didn't find that useful doesn't mean others won't!

There's the name calling once again! If you had searched before posting you would have found the answer very easily. Even a basic internet search using "Horizon Zero Dawn skip intro" gives several pages of results that tell you how to skip the intro movie!

Those who cannot produce a valid argument simply resort to insults and name calling.

Best solution go to toilet take well deserved dumb on toilet then after that get back to your game and intro should be done

Those guys are right though and you're just getting agitated for no reason. A simple search of "Skip Intro" in General Discussions resulted in 73 entries from August 18 2021 to April 20 2022. They all give the same solution as you.

What is kind of ironic is you say "...if anybody is looking..." If they "searched" as well as you did, they won't find it either.
