USB keeps disconnecting
Does anyone else have the problem that as soon as I start the game, everything connected via USB just keeps disconnecting and reconnecting? Sometimes it only happens once, sometimes it happens three times in a row. My mouse and keyboard are plugged in an USB Hub. My Xbox Controller is directly connected to my Pc via USB. It's really frustrating that suddenly I can't move anymore and have to wait for everything to reconnect again. I only have this issue in HZD, no other game makes those problems. I already reinstalled the game. But nothing helps.
Is this a known issue? Does anyone else have those problems?

I don't know what it could be, but if it's not hardware, you might want to run SFC. Possibly a virus scan on top.

It's just weird that it only happens at this particular game. Any other game works fine

For how long did you already have the problem? I just recently bought the game

Ryzen CPUs and boards were known to have USB Connectivity issues under certain circumstances.

System specs, pleae, both of you?

If it is a ryzen, iirc that issue was fixed by a bios update.

That assumes that the gamers in question here have done said BIOS updates.

Actually, I was assuming they hadn't done it judging by the usb error.

No, I actually haven't done a bios update yet. And I actually have a ryzen. Wasn't thinking of an bios update because my PC is rather new (build in April)

Generally a good idea to check for bios updates as soon as you do a new pc build.

The thing is, I didn't build it myself. I was just watching. I wasn't sure if we actually did a bios update or not because we did many updates (drivers, windows etc.). But I will check it out and see if this is the solution to my problem

Got some weird isssues that game (and Bordelands 3) both game was causing my computer to crash a few minutes AFTHER stopped playing.
In fact in turned out that my power supply was dying.

In your case I guess its maybe the bios of even the hardware. my brother had to change his motherboard a few years ago because keep loosing mouse / keybroad for no reasons when he was booting is computer.

Well I have the problem only while playing Horizon Zero Dawn. Nothing else causes these issues. So a hardware problem wouldn't make sense to me
Win10 icon>right click>device manager>down very below of that device list>see that universal USB category?>(Make sure to know that problematic usb port) > right click > properties > Advanced tab> reset hub > Notice if there is a text on thet window saying "this hub operating at high speed" Replug reboot computer

Also

Right click properties of that USB port> Power management tab>uncheck first entry

Also

Control Panel > power management > switch to high performance plan or modify current one, USB setting related to "Sleep" > disabled, apply and ok

Thanks, I will try it when I get the chance.
It also happens to all of my USB ports. No matter which one I choose. I even tried the USB-c port for my Xbox controller
