Should i buy this on PS5 or is pc better.
I only have an rx 580 and gtx 1060 and not upgrading. Recently bought a ps5 as i had sold my ps4 a few years ago knowing the ps5 would be backwards compatible.

I am running Horizon Zero Dawn on an i5 8400 6 cores cpu with GTX 1060 and i16gigs of memory its running fine. But if you have a PS5 this game was developed for a console initially so I would take advantage of that If I was you. All of the updates the dev's have released over the past year for PC seem to have worked out most of the bugs the game was probably having on release for PC.
on your hardware you are better off buying the ps5 version. This game is best with a RTX card so you can take advantage of DLSS

The Playstation version has less graphical bugs.

PC has some flickering in the Frozen Wilds DLC.
The volcano smoke flickers really bad.

On your system maybe.

Well its like that on multiple systems so pretty sure its the game.
My 1660 TI and 3070 TI both do it.

Go to start of Frozen Wilds in Banuk Village and that Volcano smoke flickers like crazy, especially in the background when you talking to Burgrend.

Moreover, being that it only happens on the volcano in the DLC increases odds its just the game.

Lastly, I have also done extensive testing with all graphics options, nothing fixes it.

Can't say as I saw it happen on either of my playthroughs on a 2080.

Probably a driver issue.

Alright, you win. I won't argue.
