CPU and GPU overheating, slow down your rig.
I have a i710700kf, 32gb ddr4 3200mhz, and a nvidia geforce rtx 3060 12gb.
If i run my rig, at 5,1ghz i easily get to 100 degree celsius. And i have some tearing. So i turned it back to 4,1ghz, bclk frequnecy at 100mhz and cpu cache ratio to 43. Looks like the PS5 is a potato rig. Want to prevent problems. Slow your rig down.

So... what you're describing is an overclock on YOUR END that is too high for your cooling solution.

Get a better cooler.

Also, lul 3060. A scam card that never should have been released.

The card works perfect.

I agree.

All skus are deliberately tagged wrong in my opinion (as for RDNA2);

My thoughts of current-gen until their CMOs, CFOs, etc. had changed things (later after they saw the perf difference from its last-gen) before their initial launch. The should have been labeled;

3050 = 3060Ti w/12GB
3060 = 3070Ti w/12GB
3070 = 3080 w/20-24GB
3080 = 3080Ti w/20-24GB
3090 = 3090Ti w/24GB

enable 60 fps cap and/or vsync, if the pc is pushing more than your monitor's refresh rate (or the rate the game was designed for) it will cause your hardware to work unnecessarily harder thus causing heat issues.

also, may want to check your cooling solution, I'm using this https://www.amazon.com/Noctua-NH-U12S-Performance-Cooler-redux-1700/dp/B08WPDD6GD on an i7-11700K and temps under load don't go over 65-67 C.
Did cap at 60. CPU overheats, cause the game was badly ported. When loading a new cell or during fast travel, it uses the maximum resources. So my CPU spikes at 5.1ghz, reaching 100 degrees celsius. At 4.1GHZ it loads just as fast. But the CPU temperature is now at a max of 78, and my GPU from 68 to 55. My cooler btw, scythe mugen 5 rev b.

Ummm... I'm sure you've ruled out all scenarios, right?!

Like testing other games, STRESS TESTING, house-cleaning, CONFIRM ALL CLOCKS stable, PSU stability, ambient temp, case efficiency, rogue background programs, etc?

It's not what is hitting 100c.

That's your cpu.

Upgrade your cpu cooling.

You're blaming the port for cooling problems on your system.

Go check your thermal paste application.

Everything, the game was made for ps5. I matched the ps5 specs, in a profile under AI suite 3. The game works perfect now. How i did it, will be my secret. Instead of an attempt to troll out my data. Next time, try to ask nicely.
The game was made for ps4, not ps5.

Translation: It was a problem on your end and you don't want to admit it.

That is a pretty beefy heatsink, so I would, in your shoes, check CPU and GPU temperatures, voltages, etc using HWMonitor and GPU-Z. HWMonitor records the min-max and GPU-Z can log the information to a data file.

Empirically there is a known problem with some nVidia drivers applying overly aggressive boost clocks in gaming and so causing sporadic crashes. The cure was to draw back the boost speed by about 200 MHz or so.

I know, but it runs under ps5, so i matched my specs as much as possible.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with that, as the game can be run on PCs at higher resolutions and with better graphical enhancements than were possible on the basic PS4.

But extreme CPU or GPU overheating is definitely a cause for concern. Were you able to read out your temperatures and voltages during gameplay using the diagnostic utilities I mentioned?

I'm using hw monitor. And i checked everything, including paste. And 200mhz x 8 is 1600. Which would bring my cpu back at 3.6ghz. Just 100mhz faster then the ps5. But 4.1 works fine.

Could it be, that i needed to use an xmp file for my ram. It reads in bios as 2133, but i do have 3200 2x16gb.
