I keep my Shadow hunter bow at key "!". Hit ! and it is what I will use, hit 1 again and it changes the type of arrow and it is the same on 2,3,4. I like to keep my hunter bow at 1, then casters at 2, long bows at 3 and slings and blasters at 4. That way if I change weapons to something else it is easier to remember what key for what purpose.
Just use the weapon wheel. It slows time anyway so bringing it up, going to the weapon/ammo you want and going back to the game is fine. With keyboard/mouse, you hold TAB to do it.
I pick the wrong one very often though lol is fairly sensitive and switches to a different one at the last moment.
The aiming really made me play with kb and mouse ;p
Edit: have fun with the game btw Kloud :)
Double or tripple tapping it, switches the arrows to the one you prefer.
i.e.: tapping the 1 will bring up the hunter bow with the "normal" arrows
Tapping 1 twice, will bring up the same bow, but with the fire arrows.
Tapping 1 thrice will bring up the same bow, but with the higher damage arrows.
And so on.
This works for all weapons when tapping 1, 2, 3 or 4; depending at what you have put where.
Thorin :)
Was what I was trying to say, you did it a lot better.
This way makes more sense to me and is easier. I do use the tab key to restock my ammo.
But I also like to use my mouse scroll wheel button, yes I have a button on the scroll wheel, to use the focus.
Just, unless you're like me and can't stand weapon wheels. They are for people that use controllers. A keyboard shortcut is faster and doesn't take you out of the game.
To change arrows without the weapon wheel you have to select the same weapon until the ammo you want comes up. This is a terrible mechanic that presupposes everyone is going to use the weapon wheel anyhow. It not only is it cumbersome to have to select the one weapon multiple times, it's especially bad because if you have the weapon you want equipped, selecting it again will bring up a bow loaded with the wrong ammo. Arrrgh
P.S. could I suggest that giving default keyboard commands like "hold TAB" are useless to those that are in the habit of using their own defaults. Most games can customize shortcuts, eh.
