Frozen Wilds DLC: before or after main story? NO SPOILERS
I'm lvl 58, I'm like halfway through main story, and just started the Frozen Wilds DLC.

Should I go ahead and finish the FW DLC before coming back to the main story line?
Doing side quests and collectables so far in FW, including getting all the Bluegleam to buy the extra stuff.

thanks!!

Well, level wise you're fine at 58, so really it's up to you. You can acquire some gear in Frozen Wilds that can help with the later parts of the main quest, but you said no spoilers so I'll not go into any details. Play how you want to play, so long as you're enjoying the game and having fun, does it really matter what order you do certain things in?

Frozen Wilds can be done whenever you want, though it's generally best to wait until you've gotten past level 30 at least.
got it, thanks! I'll keep bouncing back and forth then as aimlessly as I have been so far :-)

at least I have now the upgradeable spear, all those Modifications I was collecting were driving me nuts.

Absolutely! You're not tied to completing the FW at a particular time, and you may find doing it this way adds some variety, especially as the base game and the expansion each add narrative context for each other.

I played the DLC once the main game had reached the point of no return. That way for the final fight in the main game, I had the DLC weapons and weapon mods which give you that little extra boost

Does the game warn you about this point?

Yes it does.. you can choose to proceed or continue exploring and do whatever you want and take your time. When I started the DLC I was already at 99% completion on the main game and when I finished the last errand on the DLC, I had 100% on Frozen Wilds.

Doesn't the game return you to before the last mission after you complete it? I've read it somewhere, it was about the achievement involving the last mission of I remember correctly.

Yes it does... but my objective was to have nothing left to do once the story was over and have 100% completion on stats

The reason I feel it does that is to give you a chance to get all the allies to join you before the final battle so that you dont have to play through the whole game again for that achievement.

That's my goal too, that's why I'm asking in case I mess up. Thanks.
