Stuck on loading screen on startup?

Hi There

I cannot run this game all of a sudden. It seems to be getting stuck and crashes at the loading screen on start up.

Is there a fix for this?

same issue. no fix. try to reinstall the driver helps maybe. reinstall the game wont work.

I wonder what they broke? It was working end of last year.

RAM - 16gb Corsair Dominator Ram 3200mhz
PSU - Corsair AX1600i
Cooling - Corsair Hydro Series™ H110i GTX 280mm Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Case - Corsair Graphite Series™ 780T White Full-Tower PC Case
HDD - 1TB Samsung SSD, 250gb OCZ Vector SSD
Sound Card - Creative Sound Blaster AE-7, Creatrive Sound Blaster G6(External and not in use)

I have deleted all saves, verified game file integrity, reinstalled the game and new drivers.

The game was working just fine in December.

Yeah, it gets stuck at that loading icon.

And I dont think it installed everything on my computer because when I copy every data of it its not even 1GB I just got the game for my birthday so I am now mad :C

That's weird as the game is working fine on my GTX 1070 with newest drivers.

I just installed the new Nvidia driver by using DDU in safe mode to uninstall the old driver. I also installed the new driver in safe mode so try this to see if it fixes your infinite loading.

I did the same thing. Same old. It is not an infinite loading screen but more, it crashes/gets stuck at loading screen.

Maybe the shader cache files are corrupt. Try disabling Nvidia shader cache and find the location of Nvidia shader cache and delete the files.

This is definitely a bug--I'm experiencing the same issue with any versions 1.11 or newer, and tracking similar threads here:

No amount of troubleshooting seems to help anyone experiencing this, but feel free to try what other users have tried if you have a few hours and several GB of bandwidth to kill. Just waiting for a patch at this point. Strongly recommend reporting the bug directly to Sony here:

Well reporting bugs is good but it works on my GTX 1070 on separate SSD, latest drivers.

The problem is that not everyone is experiencing this bug which may mean it's hard to reproduce as no one seems to know what is causing these startup freezes.

I will say I've never experienced these freezes. The first time loading saves sometimes takes longer but it does load, also playing on SSD. Maybe give it 5 minutes to load although it shouldn't take that long.

Totally unacceptable! So I now have to pirate a game that I legitimately bought at great expense just to play it?!
