Teleporting enemies and ghost arrows
I want to play this game "the right way" aka aim for the proper places, set traps, set tripwires and play strategically and tactically.. only if those machines stopped TELEPORTING all the time!!!

And its especially the Big Guys that I want to fight properly and methodically, yet when a Thunderjaw or Frost-Claw just teleports from 200m right into my FACE! I just say "effff it" and start cheeesing.

This game would be absolutely epic if the machines obeyed the laws of physics more..

(I am not talking about a bug here, I am talking about the way most machines can just go like a bullet at you out of nowhere)

Also the animations are not super fluid targets move from point to point without "being in between" making my arrows miss all the time, often arrows even go through a target and still not register a "hit"

..also it take like 3sec go get a full draw on the bow, which is longer than most machines take to launch an attack

So.... i've got roughly 150 hours in the game. I've gotten every achievement.

I have never seen an enemy teleport to me like you're claiming.

I used the word "teleport" to exagurate a bit, what I mean is that most machines can attack you near-instantly from a considerable distance and I don't mean range only charge-attacks, for smaller enemies that is kinda to be expected but when a Thunderjaw just covers 100m in 0.2 seconds(before you can blink) that is not only destroying immersion it also gimps the fight

Okay, so... you know the roll button exists, right?

It's really easy to sidestep leap attacks from things like thunderjaws using that.

Also, the 3 second draw time, you're probably using one of the sharpshot bows, which really aren't intended to be used in active combat.

They're a sniping/stealth weapon.

Draw also doesn't affect damage unless you're using a banuk bow.

Never encountered teleporting enemies but some of the big machines have really fast charge attacks, like thunderjaws running charge and scorchers swipe combo. Still they are easy to dodge. None of those are a problem though if you use your matrix time slows and ropecaster which is a fantastic utility weapon to bind down enemies for some precision shots.

This game has aim assist on as default and once i turned it off i started to hit my targets more consistently. I dont know why but aim assist didnt really assist me, it was a hindrance.

Also full draw makes your shots more accurate so not doing full draw is potential dps loss because you miss your shots more often. Of course this doesnt matter if you like to be up close and personal all the time, cant miss your shots if machines are chewing your face off.

Frostclaws and Fireclaws ARE absurdly fast for their sizes, and Scorchers leap like supercharged wolves. Blink and you could easily imagine they beamed across the screen to hit Aloy.
The range of their leap attacks is really crazy that's true, but is easy to dodge and they telegraph it in advance.
Snapmaws, Thunderjaws, Sawtooth, Ravegers... but the worst for sure are Scorchers.

Just a reminder, if someone/something is making a melee attack against you, the circular red alert icon that represents them will start flashing and turn into a jagged-edged icon. This is true even if you're being attacked from off screen/off to the side of your current camera angle. Learn to start looking for those alerts and dodging as needed. Alternatively, take advantage of the weapon wheel slow motion effect to give yourself more time to process, or use the slow motion provided by jumping while drawing a bow (assuming you have the skill for it).

I didn't start running into these problems and others until I started a new game + on two of the upper skill levels.
The first time it started happening, I stopped playing and started another new game +. I put the skill level back on story and had no glitches whatsoever the whole game.
I'm currently on my second new game + play through. On this one, I raised the skill level again, but to a different skill setting than the first time I tried ng+, and it's happening again.
It seems like I'm consistently getting glitches only in new game + and on any skill level higher than story.
I'm going to try and finish this play though if the glitches don't drive me too crazy, but I don't see any way possible to play on harder skill levels with these glitches in new game +. If I decide to play through again after this one, I'll drop it back down to story until the devs figure this mess out.

Are the machines actually teleporting, or just moving really quickly? I just finished a NG+ run on Ultra Hard, and the machines seem to move much more aggressively on higher difficulties, including being faster to attack and noticing you far more readily than before.

No they actually disappear off the screen while I'm looking at them and reappear in my face. In fact, it just happened before I commented here while I was fighting the Frostclaws with Aratuk. I've also had arrows intermittently do no damage.
I've been getting a few other glitches in game as well...slow or locked loading of the game, distorted landscape elements, just to name a couple.
Like I said, I didn't have a single issue my first play though. This didn't start until I fired up ng+. I'm not sure if that coincided with an update or not...I'd have to look, but something is definitely wonky here.

Just checked:
It looks like the game updated on the 26th of January. That's pretty close to when I started my first ng+ play through, so I'd say it's not unreasonable to suspect the update messed something up.

For some machines, their eyes will flash if they're about to launch a direct attack at you.
