GTX 1060 and i7 3770 - heavy framedrops, even on low settings not playable

I know that this isn't the most up to date hardware but I saw videos on YouTube where people have similiar/the same hardware and are getting around 40 FPS on high. Unfortunately though I've got heavy framedrops below 30 FPS even on low settings and therefore the game isn't playable at all. Apparently this is because of my CPU runs at 95-100% and can't keep up. I restarted the PC and closed all background activities but still the game produces very high CPU usage. Any suggestions what could be the problem would be highly appreciated :)

To be fair his CPU greatly outclasses a PS4 which the game runs at steady 30fps on.

It has performance issues across the board even on my 5950x and a GTX 1080 Ti. It's a 4 year old PS4 game. It's simply a bad port.

As VeganNinjaZomie said. The game itself is 4 years old and the PS4 on which it runs was released 8 years ago. It's not a new game...

which 1060 do you got 3gb or 6gb what ssd its still a older cpu in any case its really easy to optimize a console game not so much witht he pc and the 1000s of different builds i run on a 1060 and at 1080p i have 60 plus fps and at 1440p in between 36 and 50s fps

Sorry forgot to mention that, I've got the 6GB version and I'm playing at 1080p. My SSD is a 1 yr old Crucial MX500.

have you tried lowering it to 720p? There's really not much you cant do. The game doesnt have the best optimization and its not like you have the best hardware.

i got a gtx 1660 super and a r3 3100 budget pc but it run great at 1080p all high you should consider upgrading or play at 720p that you're choice yes i know it a bad time for upgrade or building a new pc right now sry dude.

i5 6600k , 970evo ssd,32gb ddr4 ram at 3200 lol honesty we have the same gpu my processor isnt much faster then yours doubt the ssd speeds make that much difference unless there is some newer tech process they use that beyond me lol

lol yeah its hard to upgrade a gpu atm this is supposed to be the year i upgrade my gpu but i cant bring myself to pay scalpers 3 times the price

i5 6600k i think i was a pretty go cpu back then maybe you can overclock it with better cooling ? yeah ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ scalper that why i only have a r3 3100 i wanted a r3 3300x and even before this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pandemic it was impossible to get. but im verry happy with my 1660 super i a great budget card i got mine for 330$ canadian before all this ship happen but i could have it for a bit cheaper but ♥♥♥♥ it i wanted a new pc and did not build it myself this time so i paid a bit more then normal :(

i would be too i didnt know it was gonna be that difficult to upgrade my gpu and i went ahead and got a 32inch 1440p monitor now my poor 1060 is struggling

i7 6700 k - 1080 ti - 16 GB ram = 1440p everthing on high 70 - 90 fps
