Any chance Marvel's Spiderman coming to the PC?
Any thoughts?

As the guy said, I don't think anyone in this forum has any insider knowledge but...

I would love Spider-Man on the PC. Cranked up settings and 120FPS is going to be spectacular for a Spider-Man game. It already looks amazing on console, can't wait to see how much it can look better on vastly more powerful computer.
Of course there is no chance. Spider Man still sells well on PS4-PS5 so it makes no sense for Sony to release it on PC.

Depends on whether or not this stunt of theirs works. If PS5 sales increase, definitely not. If they don't, then who knows? They might even realize that if they need to sell a product at a loss for people to want it over the competition, then there's an issue with the product.

to be fair HZD sold well on the Ps4 and they still decided to sell it on PC. And after they decided to release Days Gone literally any PS Exclusive game could be next since that one was straight from the Sony Studios themselves.

It's got nothing to do with sales, it's to do with keeping the PlayStation fanbase happy. There's no chance of either Spiderman or Gran Tursimo coming to PC as the PS4/PS5 userbase would kick up a stink about it.

If it were just down to sales both of those PS4 games would have come to PC by now.

Point in case, The Avenger game, which has sold poorly, yet Spiderman is still a PlayStation exclusive because Sony want it that way.

Considering they've already thrown a fit over HZD coming to pc. And threw a fit when Yakuza was announced for pc, I think it's safe to say Sony doesn't give a damn about that portion of the playstation userbase.

Finally someone gets it.

Imagine thinking a corporation cares about customer feelings over money lol. Especially when it's a customer base that will keep buying their products and they know it.

Nobody is going to stop buying Playstation consoles because their games are now on PC. These furious customers want to play on consoles, so where else are they going to go to play the next Spider-Man or God of War?

Where's Gran Turismo Sport then? It came out in 2017? Spider-Man has already been announced as NOT coming to PC by Square Enix in The Avengers, what makes you two think anything will change? Oh yeah, delusion.

Imagine thinking a corporation like Sony cares about the PC userbase when they've got PS5s to sell.

The naivety in this thread is hilarious.

Spider-Man staying in the ps4 version of that crap game is a pretty bad example.

Sony still owns a fairly large chunk of the non-comic book license to the character. It's why Spider-Man being added to the Marvel movie universe was such a big deal.

Also, the thread wasn't about that dumpster of a game. It was about the Insomniac title.

"BuT wHeRe'S gRaN tUriSmO?"

Ah, yes. Truly the best of examples.

You could have said the same thing about Horizon Zero Dawn or any of the Yakuza games prior to their announcements.

It's almost like Sony is trying out the waters on PC releases and doesn't care what you buttmad fanboys think about it.

I'm not a "Buttmad" fanboy dude, reported just for that comment.

I'm primarily a PC gamer, my PS4 barely gets touched these days. Bu that doesn't mean I'm not aware of what's going on.

But apparently the PC gaming community now think every console game will get a PC port which is absolutely hilarious.

The Spider-Man game made by Insomniac Studios (a studio Sony owns) is a PlayStation exclusive, the remaster is a PS5 exclusive as is the Miles Morales game and both are PS5 showcases designed to sell consoles.

Sony have zero reasons to port either game to PC where they'll no doubt get pirated. They sell enough games on PlayStation to not need to port them.

Both Days Gone and Horizon Zero Dawn sold poorly compared to the Spider-Man games and the ports were done to make up for that.

Yakuza is owned by Sega, the decision to port to PC had nothing to do with Sony. But Sega also decided not to port Judgment to PC even though it was ported to Xbox which is very telling.

Carry on with your thread though, it gives me something to laugh at.

You do realize Horizon Zero Dawn is one of the best selling PS4 games, right? And that like Insomniac, Guerrilla is owned by Sony?

Neither of your attempts at logic pan out, my dude.

Also, "lUl I RePoRtEd YoU!" over something that innocuous? Wow, dude. Wow.

Horizon Zero Dawn, as far as i remmember, was also a game to "show off the capabilities of the PS4" and here it is on PC

Gran Turismo, unlike Forza, isn't that interesting for most of the players because of it's more simracing approach and not to forget we already have enough of that stuff on PC as is. It wouldn't be able to get a decent playerbase with Asetto Corsa and the likes.

I don't know why you think this is funny though.. You do realize Sony can always start porting Uncharted, SPider Man and co whenever they feel like doing so, right? Doesn't matter what their fanbase is saying because these are a bunch of whiners anyway and Sony doesn't give a rats ass if people won't buy their consoles since there will be enough that DO buy their consoles at the end of the day. All the casual gamers with their FIFA, CoD etc and no PC available will still go for PS4/PS5...PS6000

Sony can also NOT port any of those games, which so far they haven't. Sony are not Microsoft, they don't see PC as part of the same ecosystem unlike Microsoft.

Spider-Man is a PlayStation exclusive. They have no intention of porting to ANY other platform, whether that's PC, Xbox, Switch etc.

Yes I reported you over something that innocuous because it was uncalled for and also incorrect as I'm mainly a PC gamer.

Also the sales of Horizon Zero Dawn are largely irrelevant, my point was that if Sony own't even allow Spider-Man to exist on any other platform in The Avengers game, what makes you think they'd allow the Insomniac games on another platform?

And you talk to me about logic?

I never said spider man would or wouldn't come to pc.

Just that your "Well, it sold well, so it won't come to pc" logic was idiotic.

Because it is.
