Talanah doesn't deserve the Sunhawkship (spoilers)

She let Aloy do all the work, especially in the Glinthawk quest and most importantly, the Redmaw hunt. She is incompetent a hunter that she let half a dozen men follow her tracks. She was just there to wait for the spoils, claim credit for Aloy's work and now she became Sunhawk as a result. She was no better than Ahsis who, by the way, the story didn't let us know his side of his story (unless I missed it) on how he was so spiteful of outsiders.

I would say that Ahsis is a Royal elitist and a leader that would have led to stagnation in the lodge. Talanah is a good character, but you are right she may be capable but overall she is still very young and most of the work was done by Aloy. Her useless no jutsu was pretty strong and she got ambushed pretty easily. She goes through the entire story about her Hawk being killed because he went off by himself and she goes and does the same thing...lol This may be the case where the desire for the female now leader narrative superseded overall logic or better story telling than it was. Horizon usually does a good job at putting story telling over narrative desires for social commentary IE SJW trash. I can think of maybe one more instance besides this one that I found annoying. Other than that its one of my favorite games.

Horizon has huge SJW undertones, basically every female is a hero/victim (aloy, elizabet, CYAN, aratak's sister), and every male is bad (faro, hades, hephaestus, helis, sylens). It routinely jabs at male chauvinism without any counterweight. It's a game that cannot afford to have any hint of criticism of females.
