To curse the darkness

After getting the cutscene from jumping off the bridge it tells me to go to meet the guy in this area but hes not even there. if I try to load older saves they spawn me in the circle where im suppose to meet him. Anyone encountered this bug and fixed it ?

Sometimes the game wants you to use the fire to save/rest so they can show a specific cutscene (similar to earlier in the game, when you need to wait for/with Rost at a fire).

You'll need to be way more specific and make sure you are describing the problem correctly.

After successfully finishing the "To Curse the Darkness" mission by Rappeling down from the bridge (not jumping), there is a cutscene where you have an angry conversation with Sylens. That concludes the quest and the next part is Sunfall. There is no "Go meet [this guy]".

After successfully finishing the "To Curse the Darkness" mission by Rappeling down from the bridge (not jumping), there is a cutscene where you have an angry conversation with Sylens. That concludes the quest and the next part is Sunfall. There is no "Go meet [this guy]".

After the cutscene the quest doesnt end and the objective is to go to the locations sylens indicated.

Now i know what this is about. The rappelling down was interrupted when the repel point was destroyed and Aloy lands in the drink. She gets out of the water, rests for a moment and wonders off.

Is this location back where the mission started, where Aloy is at the campfire in the cliffs near the opening in the cliff that leads to the enemy camp?

Ah, OK.
In that case, the quest glitched. You'll have to load an earlier save and play it again. You did something in there that the game could not process. I would suggest first trying an AUTOSAVE, but if it doesn't work, you'll have to go a manual/quick save.

I just had the exact same problem. finished the mission, got the cut scene ... but then the mission doesn't "complete".
Tried reloading from a much earlier save and going through it all again .. 3 times!!! Same result :(

Has anyone managed to fix/get past this glitch??

Did u guys ignore Sylens and take a go and kill the big machines when he tells u to just run?

I am just curious and all. Sorta trying to figure out what might have caused the bug for fun XD.

Edit: Maybe a corrupted files verification may help. Alpha registry may have got corrupted by Hades. Try the commands by Xenophobe also ^^

I didn't load the game, I just visit that mission and make a slow run again, so the game can render the cutscene.
