yea they just dance around you and run away. I use the tearblaster on them first that makes them easy.

I use shock tripcaster then burn him to hell with fire arrows then beat it to hell with my spear.

yeah I feel you. I had a hard time with them. tear blasters remove the component that makes them invisible. place tripcasters or explosive mines right next to their alarm mines, trigger the alarm and they will do their and inspect. then boom they go.

^Never thought to put traps near the alarms and then intentionally set it off! Should try that next time...

My normal method is to use a Tearblaster arrow to get rid of their invisibility component, which also knocks off several other important components at the same time. Then a couple shock arrows to stun them (they are majorly weak to shock) and then get in close and melee them with the spear or just shoot with normal arrows.

Thing with Stalkers is that you can still see them when they invisible because you can see the outline of their form. Their invisible form will be kinda blurry especially when they move around. They're easy to see and kill. I just shoot them with a powerful bow like Shadow Sharpshot Bow or the Banuk Powershot Bow and precision arrows and be on my way. I finished most the game just with shadow sharpshot bow and banuk powershot bow.

Just use the rattler with electric bolts, it makes light work of them. You just stun lock them until they die

My personal favorite is to override them and watch them beat the s**t out of each other. Use a couple of Corruption arrows on those you didn’t override for even more tasty Stalker vs. Stalker action!

One of the things I loved in Horizon Zero Dawn is the amount of creativity you can use to destroy the machines.

Usually when you are struggling, it probably means that you should try a completely different new approach (experiment with different weapons and abilities!) and see what happens.

Use electric slingshot, it has huge splash radius and ground remains affected, once electricuted (not full) icon will appear so you can follow them.
Finish with electricity, once they are stuned go crazy with explosive slingshot (sticky mines) easy...

Use shock arrows to stun them (or any shock weapons for that matter just not trip caster as stalkers like to use ranged attacks), then run up and get a big crit. Rinse ans repeat. That's how I deal with them. They are weak to shock, so they will get stunned with 2 arrows (on very hard).

I usually sit in a bush and use blast wires to kill them. The idiots are just running around in circles trying to figure out why they're all exploding. WHO'S THE STALKER NOW, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥?! XD

i just use explosive tripwires everywhere. Like a LOT of them. :D Sadly, this is all tend to do in extreme scenarios now. I just jump around like a spring shooting tripwires.

Nothing wrong with them at all.. after you progress in the game a bit - Triple arrow shot as an opener helps a lot as you can simply drop their dart gun as an opener or start working on cloaking module. Plus they are fairly doomed if you using surroundings into your advantage not even to mention that in close combat they are one of the most squishy machines. As far as I remember you don't really care about them and consider them as a threat on 40+ lvl or have shield-weaver armour .. hell with that you can dodge fight and snipe 1 by 1 10+ machines on normal and maybe have an epic battle with like 5 on highest difficulty. Just learn their habit mate... they always try to go as far as they can in order to do snipe shot or two... but if you drop distance from them enter grass in sneak mode they will come over to investigate you're last 'know location' - be the hunter not hunted

On Ultra Hard in the frozen wilds one hit with the tail after you have lost the shield and you are gone even with max skills. Stalkers are tough.
