Playtime?
I’ve read completionists do it in 60-80 hours. The story is 30-40 hours. But then I read of people hitting 200+ hours. What else there to do out there? Or is it just one of those games that you can really stretch your time with the activities?

There are side quests and activities like the hunting grunds (providing timed challenges like taking out certain enemies with a certain method).
The landscapes are varied, well designed and truly beautifull. there is a lot to discover and you are motivated to do so even without a 100% completion fetish.

Over all, activities and side quests are more story based, better integrated and less repetitive than what you know from sandbox games like rear-end-creed or ghost recon.

About 60-65 hours with me in Story mode, no hunting areas. I'm not a quick player. ;-)
Everything else done. All quests made.Everything found. And yes,you can strecht your Time,it's Open World Game.......

it's Google Translation.

I’ve read the game has some beautiful visuals. I feel like this is one of those games where you can just sit on a cliff and watch some amazing robotic herds pass by.

The combat is very fun and it's based on player skill rather than stats. It's possible to go out there and hunt machines just for fun. This is different than other open world games where you try to level up for better stats. In those games, the combat is a means to an end. In this, the combat is a core gameplay feature. It just also happens to be open world.

I'm 70 hours into it, soon gonna be done with the Frozen Wilds expansion, which I am doing after the main story in the base game. So if people play through it at around 70 hours or so, then do another NG+ playthrough, I can see the hours racking up. Personally, I will step away from the game when I finish the expansion, and move on to another game. I rarely play through games more than once.

Playtime depends on several things and personal preferences. May check out Howlongtobeat.com 😊

Do you only play main quest or all optional content? Do you go for achievements or just walk straight through the game? Do you play again on different difficulty levels or new game plus? Do you want to achieve additional goals through challenges... etc

I personally don't care how long other people play a game. It has nothing to say for my personal playstile.

For example in Skyrim i enjoyed the setting so much, i was 100h in the game before i started the main quest 😂

I did a 100% playthrough on PS4 Pro and at the end of my second NG+ playthrough I was on over 100 hrs on record.
But basically played around 200 hrs, as of often dying and reloading (which surely doesn't get added into the counter system).

That said, playing with controller on ultratard... ultrahard is somewhat frustrating as without the autoaim (forced off on ultrahard) it surely is a bummer if you are as bad with a controller as I am. XD

Still I managed to do it, but on PC it might be a lot easier with mouse aim.

But if you want to do 100% including NG+ playthroughs (as there you unlock the good stuff of gears), you might either end up with a record of 100 hrs.

Yeah I’m definitely going to push over 100 hours on this. I’ve already blown like 15 minutes just starring at the smaller robots and all their intricate bits. 🤣

Ppl who stucked in this game has no another games and this one is their 1st AAA product. My friend completed this game per 20h and said he didn't found what to do more.

Fair enough.
Subjective but fair enough.

If you are a "completionist" then this game offers surely a lot of challenges to do.

You can complete this game in even lower than 20 hrs, if you just mindlessly follow the main quest.

What hasn't been mentioned so far is that the game - for a few players - offers an emotional connection. If you are captivated by the world of the game like you describe above, it could be that it really draws you in. I wouldn't go so far to say it is on the level of Skyrim, because the constant influx of new material from a huge modding community is missing. But it is in a similar league from the base game point of view.
If the story is "your thing", it will take you on an emotional roller-coaster ride, which you might even want to repeat a couple of times more.

Then it doesn't even matter that the replay incentives are not that great (adept weapons, face paint, finally finding all the data points, quest dialogues being different depending on the order in which you play the quests), if you're just looking for an excuse to dive in with Aloy once again, you'll find it. :)
