All skills (and level) carry over, but the ones requiring override will be locked (appears as a ? in the skill tree) until you beat the first Corruptor.
Everything else is reset including Tallnecks and Cauldron.
Yes, you can create a loadout from any save you completed the main quest on.
No, you just get an extra mod slot.
Just UH.
The changes are listed at the bottom here: https://horizon.fandom.com/wiki/New_Game%2B

Yep.
2. You'll need to complete the main quest to be able to create a loadout. And since NG+ resets the game, you will need to complete the quest line again to be able to carry over your adept weapons.
3. No, it doesn't overwrite. But perhaps you might want to back up the save anyway. Always a good idea.
I'm hoping I can take my Banuk weapons to NG+ also. Is that possible? Or will they be locked up until FW NG+?
Nope. You can use them immediately.
Awesome! From what I'm reading about FW, it is quite tough so these weapons should help. I haven't started it yet (doing collectibles, am around level 55). Wonder if the Banuk weapons carried over to the base game make UH easier to attempt.
This is great to know, thank you.
If I may ask, what armours are you using in FW and later, UH?
I hear Shield Weaver becomes obsolete in UH; and I dunno about FW on lower difficulties. Apparently there are things that render it depleted? Is it throughout the DLC or are these zones?
There's everything you need to know about the shield-weaver outfit.
For Fireclaws and Scorchers though it really helps to equip a Carja Blazon outfit.
On the contrary. I didn't bother equipping Shield Weaver on my first playthrough, but it's a great QOL improvement for UH since many attacks can kill you in a single shot, or easily bring your health to below 20%.
Medicine herbs are nerfed on UH so it quickly becomes a boresome chore to constantly fill your medicine pouch.
Banuk Weapons helps a lot with damage, but because of these circunstances using them onb UH turns Aloy into a glass canon. I don't want to even try UH without a Champion Bow.
By the way, you can save some time by saving and reloading; this fills you health back to 100%.
It's probably fine to use them though, even more so if you don't intend purchasing every adept outfit on NG+.
The Improved Icerail is incredibly powerful btw, make sure you upgrade it.
Thank You for this!!
I ended up following through and doing 100% of FW and yeah, these new weapons are SO resource greedy but well worth it, however certainly not for moment to moment use.
BTW could you or anyone else please answer this: is UH the ONLY difficulty where prices of weapons are higher? I'm trying to optimize my run (eventually building a speedrunning build, who knows) and I want to play NG+ on Hard/VH first, and THEN UH.
Edit: NVM, just looked it up under a different wiki section, yes, only UH has the price jump :)
