Can someone help answer a few things about NG+? Very confused.
So I've looked around online about NG+ and I'm still confused. Sorry if this is a long-ish post, but some of these questions are just yes/no (though I would love elaboration).

1. Everything except a particular outfit from the main game carries over, right? I read some skills carry over, but are still locked? What about Tallnecks?

2. Suppose I want to play NG+ twice, in order - once/first on EITHER Hard or Very Hard; and the second on UH. Will I be able to create a NG+ loadout from my first NG+ run? Or is it base game only? (I want to max out my Adept Weapons, outfits and take them to UH).

3. Adept Lodge variants - unlocked by completing all the hunting lodges (Blazing Sun) again, right? Any stat difference aside from one mod slot?

4. Does the health bar vanish on any of the Hard difficulties, or is that just UH?

4. Speaking of UH, what exactly changes? I understand shield-weaver will be nerfed and other stats will be nerfed as well, but will powerful, modded Adept weapons still be able to do their thing or is there difference between Adept weapons (purchased on Hard) and Adept weapons (purchased on UH) in terms of DAMAGE? Same for outfits...(Asking because I know on UH things cost much more, I'm asking about stats).

5. Are the UH nerfs also applied to Hard/Very Hard?

6. Frozen Wilds. I haven't touched this yet, so no spoilers please, but from what I know there's a new weapon set there too. I will first complete it on my current game, and then, IF I want the adept weapon set from FW, I will have to play it again on NG+, right?

Thank you in advance!

Shadow Stalwart is not carried over (the armor Sylens gives you). Rest of your inventory does.
All skills (and level) carry over, but the ones requiring override will be locked (appears as a ? in the skill tree) until you beat the first Corruptor.
Everything else is reset including Tallnecks and Cauldron.

Yes, you can create a loadout from any save you completed the main quest on.

No, you just get an extra mod slot.

Just UH.

The changes are listed at the bottom here: https://horizon.fandom.com/wiki/New_Game%2B

Thank you so much!!

So, just last few questions (sorry lol):

1. I'm at the point where the final mission has reset. If I replay it, will I get the XP again? Or is it just the mission?

2. So, if I can create a loadout from NG+ too, does that mean I can do that at any point? Or do I have to FINISH the quest to be able create a loadout from. Does this mean the moment I get my Adept weapons, I can just create a loadout, and actually start my UH NG+?

3. NG+ skips the early childhood stuff, I think. If I want to start a new game, then my old main game saves will be overwritten? Should I just backup the save folders and switch then? Speaking of which, NG+ saves are different entirely, right?

Thank you for confirming there are no stat differences between the weapons brought across difficulties. Good to know that the difference is just player DMG output reduction.

1. Yep. You can replay the mission and keep all xp/loot.

2. You'll need to complete the main quest to be able to create a loadout. And since NG+ resets the game, you will need to complete the quest line again to be able to carry over your adept weapons.

3. No, it doesn't overwrite. But perhaps you might want to back up the save anyway. Always a good idea.

Thank You!!

I'm hoping I can take my Banuk weapons to NG+ also. Is that possible? Or will they be locked up until FW NG+?

Nope. You can use them immediately.

Awesome! From what I'm reading about FW, it is quite tough so these weapons should help. I haven't started it yet (doing collectibles, am around level 55). Wonder if the Banuk weapons carried over to the base game make UH easier to attempt.

Absolutely. I was playing on Hard and avoided FW until the final mission. I'd say that even on UH the Banuk weapons (mainly the Champion bow) bring machines down much faster compared to the Shadow variants.

This is great to know, thank you.

If I may ask, what armours are you using in FW and later, UH?

I hear Shield Weaver becomes obsolete in UH; and I dunno about FW on lower difficulties. Apparently there are things that render it depleted? Is it throughout the DLC or are these zones?

There's everything you need to know about the shield-weaver outfit.

I mostly used the Silent Hunter variants because I want to choose when to engage in battles. :)

For Fireclaws and Scorchers though it really helps to equip a Carja Blazon outfit.

On the contrary. I didn't bother equipping Shield Weaver on my first playthrough, but it's a great QOL improvement for UH since many attacks can kill you in a single shot, or easily bring your health to below 20%.

Medicine herbs are nerfed on UH so it quickly becomes a boresome chore to constantly fill your medicine pouch.

Banuk Weapons helps a lot with damage, but because of these circunstances using them onb UH turns Aloy into a glass canon. I don't want to even try UH without a Champion Bow.

By the way, you can save some time by saving and reloading; this fills you health back to 100%.

I'm only a bit into FW, can Icerail/Stormslinger be taken to NG+? No?

They can, but they use a ton of resources to craft ammo so I avoided them.

It's probably fine to use them though, even more so if you don't intend purchasing every adept outfit on NG+.

The Improved Icerail is incredibly powerful btw, make sure you upgrade it.

Thank You for this!!

I ended up following through and doing 100% of FW and yeah, these new weapons are SO resource greedy but well worth it, however certainly not for moment to moment use.

BTW could you or anyone else please answer this: is UH the ONLY difficulty where prices of weapons are higher? I'm trying to optimize my run (eventually building a speedrunning build, who knows) and I want to play NG+ on Hard/VH first, and THEN UH.

Edit: NVM, just looked it up under a different wiki section, yes, only UH has the price jump :)
