Please Remove Shaders Optimization Every Time We Start The Game
For me it takes around 20-25 minutes for this process to complete on SSD and with 8GB of RAM. This is really not a solution and i don't remember any recent game doing this every time we start the game. And even when i let it finish to 100% i am having long loading times and performance isses, can't even restart the game because it will start optimizing shaders every single time.

If you starts playing, the optimizations stops, but i agree this needs to stop, in a little while there's going to be a hole in my ssd.

This is crazy behavior. I had no idea this is what the last update was going to do. I thought it was supposed to reduce the time spent in optimization?

No, now it does it every time you start the game. You can leave it to be done in the background but it tanks the performance and introduces even more stuttering.

Yes, I noticed when I finally started the game after the update. And had stuttering again even after I had waited through the optimization process.

It stops, but it doesn't fix the problem.
For eg : If you skip the optimization step, you get super long load times, and this applies to fast travel as well.
And not to mention horrible stutters.

So you have to wait 20 mins everytime you launch the game for the opti to complete.

strange, it came 3-4 times for me and now not at all

On my end it appears every time I leave the game after playing and comming to the main menu.
But yeah... it still remains and keep doing this. I think it has been done for 10 times so far.

wow. really? just popped in to check the forums one last time before hitting that purchase button.

this is a complete show-stopper. OP saved me a good bunch of buckaroonies, thanks.

Can confirm. For me it takes about 5 minutes, and while it's doing so hogs 100% cpu, so playing while it's trying to optimize is hell. Once it's done it's great. But the fact this happens every time you start the game is annoying as hell.

It doesn't start every time you start the game, why are you all saying that.
It only caches the shaders after you update your drivers, that's it. If you don't update your drivers it will only do it once and that's it.

Obviously, if you don't wait until it finishes (100%) it will keep loading them until it's finished.

The game ran fine for me since 1.03 but this last patch introduced some annoying stutters I never had before. I wish I could revert back to 1.06, it was flawless and I didn't have to wait 5 to 10 minutes before playing... I don't know what they were thinking...

Incorrect. I have made zero changes to my PC, let it finish COMPLETELY, played for 2~ hours, closed, reopened immediately and it immediately started again. It's not working as it should.

To me it did it today after I updated my drivers.
After that, I started the game several times, hasn't done anything again. And before I updated the drivers it wasn't doing it either, so yeah.

Working fine on my side.

Just wait a few seconds and it will compile shaders again.

Once again, the part about optimising after driver update was in 1.06.
With 1.07 it is on every single launch, open the game and sit in menu for 5
mins, you will see the optimisation begin in the right hand corner.
