Voice over audio quality fix

Is there any ETA on this? A friend gifted me it and I loved it on PS4, just got a 3080 so I can brute force good perf but the audio quality drags it down a bit.

I'm using a schiiot bifrost multibit dac with unison USB upgrade, i've tried downing the sample rate but the issue still persists, like a highly compressed tinny sound quality randomly through Voice overs

It's brutal. With nearly every spoken line of dialogue, the compression (or whatever it is) shines through on some words, occasionally whole sentences. The tinny metallic twinge is super grating and distracting with headphones. I'm not even an audiophile but the dialogue in this game is the lowest quality I've heard in any game since voice acting became common. I don't understand how a big game in 2020 can slip something like that through.

I've found numerous mentions of the low quality dialogue here and reddit and elsewhere after looking for answers. I don't think it's anything that can be fixed outside of a full re-encode of every voiceover audio file on their end, and that's not going to happen at this point. Just have to put up with it and power through. Bleh. The rest of the audio sounds decent for the most part. idgi.
