Crystal Braiding

Hi,

is there any other source for the Crystal Braiding?
I took down a Thunderjaw, it took ages and 2 million arrows, and there was no crystal braiding in the loot..thank you very much game..so i have to "farm" for this one piece.

Any other, not so time-consuming source?

The wiki says it can be looted from Behemoth, Deathbringer, Fireclaw, Rockbreaker, Stormbird and Thunderjaw, so all the big ones. I guess i would go farming Behemoth then.

The way I take down large robots is a combination of things. Freeze the robot first so it's suseptical to arrow damage and to slow it down. Repeat until dead.

Your damage arrows get a massive damage increase against Frozen enemies.

Get the ability to notch 3 arrows at once. Put all damage mods into 2 different damage arrows, like the long range and the regular bow. Put all your Freeze mods into a sling or the freeze bow.

Notch 3 arrows into each damage bow and put them aside on standby. Use your Freeze weapon to Freeze the robot. Switch to each of your 3 notched bow's and unload all your notched arrows. Then equip your strongest bow and peck at the robot with arrows until dead. Freeze again if the robot is not dead before the effect wears off.

Once I found a crystal braiding in a weird pile of rocks. I don't know it was random luck or a guaranteed drop if you loot it for the first time.

those piles are there to trigger rockbreakers.

@OP one of those piles is IN the quarry north of meridian
you can loot it multiple times without triggering the rockbreaker.. wich you need to kill for a quest... it should have a relative high chance of containing a crystal braiding
however i'm not 100% sure of this one

If one has not accepted the quest in Cut-Cliffs one can repeatedly loot the suspicious rock pile on the quarry floor. When I discovered this the first three times I looted the rock pile I got Crystal Braiding. From my experience with subsequent Alloys I would guess the chance of looting Crystal Braiding may be as high as 25%.
