Would you like cheese with that Crystal Braiding?

Aloy being desirous of a Longleg Heart for an armor purchase left Meridian for the Longleg site east of Cut-Cliffs. As she passed through Cut-Cliffs she paused long enough to loot the two Supply Crates, purchase the freebie from the merchant and then headed down into the quarry to loot the crates and loot the rock pile (without first picking up the quest to kill the Rockbreaker). The rock pile loot included a Crystal Braiding.

She then headed on to the Longleg site but failed to get a heart. So she returned to Cut-Cliffs partly so that the Longlegs could respawn in her absence and partly to see if she could again loot the rock pile in the quarry. Which she did and again the loot included a Crystal Braiding.

Again she headed out to the Longleg site and this time got the desired heart drop. She then returned to Cut-Cliffs and looted the rock pile a third time. And again the loot included a Crystal Braiding.

Intensely curious at this point I saved at the campfire in Cut-Cliffs and exited the game. Upon return Aloy looted the rock pile a fourth time, but didn't shed a tear at not getting another Crystal Braiding.
