The Frozen Wilds.
If I choose to go into the Frozen Wilds part of the game, can I come back to finish off the Zero dawn part later. Thanks.

Yes. It takes place before the ending of the main story

Should i do the frozen wilds before I finish the main game?

If you'd like. The only requirement is to be at least level 30. It's a relatively standalone story so it's ultimately up to personal preference when you play it. I played in when I was at level 41 on the PS4.

That's great and I think i'm level 45 and done most of the story. But still have not killed the Death Bringer one. Keep dying plus I killed one in some ware in the story. Got to keep trying I suppose. Thank you.

I did, and I'm glad I did. The Frozen Wild is written as if it is supposed to take place anytime before the final main quest in the main game. The only "downside" is that you'll easily hit level 60 before finishing the game : )

Story-wise, Frozen Wilds is definitely supposed to take place right before Grave-Hoard.

When going to the Banuk territory, Sylens will complain that this is a waste of time and will try to convince you to go back to the Grave-Hoard ruin. You will get some additional dialogs (especially with Ourea) giving more details about Sylens and his supposedly Banuk origins. The story of Cyan and Hephaestus is also better integrated with the main story by playing this way.

And by completing some quests, you can potentially get a few more allies for the final battle of the game (not that it really matters, but it's a nice touch reminiscent of Mass Effect).

Yes. I did it at about level 28 or 30 and mixed it up with the base story line and it factors in well with the base story playing Frozen Wilds Concurrently.

Also note that come the end of the main story in Frozen Wilds you meet a character who you can interact with who will give a bit more insight into the meaning behind some main quest events. So if you come to this area earlier in the game don't forget to come back to talk to the key character -every so often.

The events are logged so if you complete everything (bar the last fight) and then to Frozen Wilds all the questions to ask are still there, so you don't miss out.

Ps fights in snow and frozen waterways are a lot of fun!

Another interesting thing regarding this, is that Sylens is a bit of an ass to you at the end of FW if you chose to gather more information about him. Ironically he's actually nice to you if you chose not to inquire questions about him.
