Anything is possible with Sony.
I had to buy one for Demon's Souls lol
I personally felt tht this game was like a testing the waters approach from Sony. They wanted to know how good their game's will sell here on a platform other than the Playstation. I think it may have sold well enough here for them to consider releasing their other exclusives on PC.
I am expecting some already released PS4 titles from Sony to slowly release on PC next year onwards. Maybe Bloodborne Remaster is the next one to release on PC.
Getting a console is not downgrading, it's just an extra.
I do prefer PC over anything else. That being said, I'm a gamer and will play good games no matter what they are on.
I bought a PS4 just to play Bloodborne lol.
It's definitely downgrading from my perspective. No offense intended.
None taken, have a good day/evening :)
You too - happy thanksgiving also, I keep forgetting it's a holiday, lol.
We don't celebrate that in UK, but thank you anyway, and enjoy :)
No, you can continue the story on PS4 too.
It most certainly is a downgrade. Low framerates, lower graphics settings, no customization of hardware, mass produced for the lowest common denominator. I've played multiple multi-platform games side by side on the PC and the console and the console is crap-ola compared to the PC. Some games on the PS4 Pro was actually being internally rendered at 720p and upscaled to 1080p and still had major input lag and low framerates. Even load times are dramatically different. If you have a crap PC (no law against that) then I might see the POV that it's an extra but some of us use the best PC hardware which is a million times better than a crap game console. Even my ho-hum Lenovo laptop with a mobile RTX 2060 was much better than my PS4 Pro (and it was even much smaller including a built in screen) I think the PS4 Pro is the last game console I'll ever buy, I just can't let the masses dictate what level of hardware and quality I can game with and at when I can have a PC that I can custom build to my own liking, whatever my budget allows, upgrade when I want, multiple times better, and even custom set the graphic settings to my liking.
When I was first playing HZD on the PS4 Pro I was thinking to myself what a crying shame such a nice game can't be played on the PC because the low framerate and input lag was killing me. They always over-tax a game consoles hardware with respect to performance just to make it look pretty (and it still doesn't look as good as a PC when everything is maxed out). With the PC you can have your cake and eat it too (great graphics AND great performance) as long as your wallet allows. With the console you're dictated into one low end config with no choice.
Games should just co-exist on both the PC and console because either way isn't really the correct way and I don't think high end PC gaming is going to effect game console sales all that much when you factor in the price difference and most console people who are happy enough with its performance aren't suddenly going to jump ship to the PC. It's like thinking a that V8 factory supercharged electronic suspension Camaro ZL1 is automatically going to mean the sales of a 4 or 6 cylinder base model Camaros are going to change which isn't the case at all. All are sold to different markets and levels of people and one doesn't really effect the sales of the other. If they even released it on the PC at the same exact date as the console the sales difference would still be minimal because the masses aren't going to up and go buy a high end PC to play a game.
