After finishing the basegame these are two enemies that really annoyed me. In that order. Glinthawks are not tought but they are really really annoying, and theres always lots of them doing their little bombing-runs. I also play with a controller so aiming is not as fast as it would be with m & kb.
Rockbreakers are fine as a single enemies. But 2? Not fun! I cheeesed the hell out of that corruption-zone with 2 rockbreakers, almost impossible to get shots in one while the other went through the ground and they wont really be tied down so I just stayed at max range behind cover. Glad it wasnt more of that...
With those two if you stay on the other side of the river they won't cross water and you can cheese the hell out of them that way. Also they are hilarious when you find a regular one and override it. If two of them are fighting they sometimes hump each other, at least that's what it looks like.
Also aim for the vents on the back and the feet at the front if those get knocked off they become easier to kill.
They really suck on Very Hard because they all three swoop in and just drop those freeze bombs all over the entire area and you take damage just running through it because there is no where to go
But the toughest in the game are probably the Fireclaws and Frostclaws in The Frozen Wilds. They are big, extremely quick and don't even need to be line of site to damage you
I did the two corrupted Rockbreakers a couple of days ago on very hard and usually there is a big rock down by the creek you can hide behind for cover and them pop out and hit them with double and triple hardpoints and whittle them down. However on very hard everything in the area becomes aggressive and will swarm in and by the time I was done I had to kill the two corrupted Rockerbreakers, 2 Snapmaws, 4 Chargers, 4 Watchers and a Behemoth although the Rockbreakers did do some damage to the Snapmaws and the Behemoth .... I started just before dark and by the time I was done it was morning, literally an all night battle .... Got some great loot out of it
Exactly where I placed Aloys butt and did just that. On hardest. Regular tactics used when facing one went out the window pretty quick. Did get some help from a trampler-caravan passing through. Glad I didnt deal with that more times
When I did the Rockbreaker in the quarry I usually hide behind a building and when it comes to my right I go to my left around the building and vice verse but this time it spat out a huge rock and blocked me off
