valleymeet banuk climb bugged

I'm trying to get the banuk figure thats near the valleymeet hunting grounds, but on the second vertical rope climb my character absolutely refuses to actually climb it. I can get on the post but actually climbing the rope to progress just won't work. Does anyone know of a fix for this?

Yeah, I found that spot too.

There's no fix, but there's another path up the mountain if you go to the left from there.

The PS4 game was particularly tricky with climbing sometimes and if you weren't careful you would faaaaaalllll.

Looks like some of that carried over I guess!

For anyone still looking at this, the trick is to hold up while jumping, not just right. Its dumb but without holding up, Aloy will just jump to the bottom of the rope and have no legholds. But if you hold up, she will hoist up before jumping right, landing on the middle of the rope from where you can then climb with no issues

That... was not helpful. She won't jump if you hold up, and holding it right as I jump does nothing. Tried 10 times.

It's not a specific spot, you have to kind of force her to climb by jumping and climbing up whenever she can jump to a higher rock.

If you start jump climbing practically right to the left of where you're supposed to go up, you should be able to find a path. I just had to do it that way

whoa, this really worked! i wasn't even pressing the jump prompt, was only going right. thanks!

Jumping up to the rope never worked for me.
There also did not seem to be a way around.

However there is another route just before. Instead of going right near the rope, there is also a way to jump left.
