"Location"-based crashing
Hi there.

Up until now, I've not really encountered any issues with the game; I've been able to play, quite comfortably, using High settings on my GTX 1050 Ti without even a wiff of slowdown. I did encounter one hard-crash when attempting to complete the "Underequipped" quest (specifically, it would always crash on a certain line of dialogue when talking to Dirid), so I simply avoided that quest. Now, however, I am finding these crashes are preventing me from progressing any further.

The game only appears to crash when I enter certain areas of the map which, I speculate, are heavy with interactable characters and elements (the bridge to Meridian, for example), but I cannot confirm since I do not get the opportunity to file a crash report before that, too, disappears.

I've tried lowering the graphics settings, I've activated HAGS, nothing. I am playing with an Xbox controller, but I doubt that has anything to do with it since KBM is still plugged in (and usable).

Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

Crashes in Meridian?
Try to launch benchmark in video settings. It is a fly around the city. If it also crashes it would be simplier to report the problem.

I haven't even made it to Meridian. No matter which route I take, something along the way is crashing the game. I performed a benchmark before starting the game and it worked fine, so I don't think that's the issue.

How would I go about reporting it? I've looked online for an official forum or other avenue but have had no luck.

How much RAM do you have?

Sorry - this kind of crashing sux. If you run a tool like MSI Afterburner you can see if your CPU and GPU are struggling. Maybe that will provide a clue.

Did you try low settings? 4 GB graphics card probably running out of VRAM in areas that have more stuff in it like Meridian.

In addition to your GPU, what is your CPU and RAM (total and distribution)?

And for s&g, your OS version? Not that that should be a cause for your issue, but more data the better.

It's 4GB dedicated VRAM and 32GB physical. I've tried overclocking, I've tried lowering the settings... nothing seems to work, unfortunately.

At the very least, I've been able to send some automated crash reports through now.

EDIT: Intel i7-8750HQ CPU

Don't discount the fact that the area just before you leave the Nora Valley has some serious weather effects. You encounter these just after going through the gate as well, though in the form of a dust storm. I have noticed crashing directly related to weather effects. Not saying that's what was happening here, just pointing it out because it took me way too long to figure out!
