How long does it take to finish Frozen Wilds DLC?
I just reached the point where you have to do some quests to prove yourself to a warchief, how far am I from finishing the dlc?

For me, I think it took around 30 hours, but I wasn't rushing, and I had to backtrack a couple of times to pick up a couple of datapoints I'd missed.
I did 100% so once I got to that point, I paused until I'd done basically everything which obviously took ages.
If you rushed it, you can pick up a couple of those quests pretty easily and then rush forward. You could be done in maybe 5 hours? You'd be skipping a lot of content though and fast-forwarding all the cut-scenes to do it that quickly I think.

Yeah. I've seen Frozen Wilds speedruns take around 45 minutes to an hour, so it's definitely doable in 5 for a player not determined to go flat-out.

Dropped into it myself at level 23. the enemies are a little tougher than expected but i adapted to fighting a harder fight. i managed to get that spear modification and kill a much higher level stalker on the way out without much issue. I'm now tracking another side mission into a frozen dam and then on to the main mission near that frozen tallneck i freed earlier.

I wonder how far i can go before i'm forced to turn back, grind a few levels before returning at a later date? It will be interesting to find out.

You're gonna love that dam mission :D

Spoilers below:

i got through the dam mission without much trouble, just avoiding the spitting ice from the Snapmaw below. I actually found the second hunting challenge a lot more of an actual challenge than i expected (i'll have to return to that at a later date when Aloy has a few more levels and more stronger modifications on her new Banak bow i brought), so for now that and control towers are not on my list for the moment.

Those bigger machines are a problem, but it's just about quickly figuring out weaknesses and exploiting them, in some cases the machine is simply too powerful to fight directly and a new strategy is needed to win. Towards that end i played cat and mouse with a Frostclaw on the way up the mountain to an objective in one mission and dodging around one of those Scorchers in a side mission to save some injured girl looking to get in some clan.

I wonder what other machines i'm gonna encounter along the way! xD

So, was Gildun as amusing as many others find him? :P

Completed it in about 8-10 hours roughly and most of the time i was outmatched. i just got some new machines to deal with. i don't fancy fighting them right at the moment though. level 50 machines and if the one i found guarding that core in the facility was any indication, it's gonna be a rough fight as i'll be be spent dodging attacks for the most part.

on the plus part though, i've gone from level 23 to level 41 in short order because of the tougher enemies and more XP they offer, plus the greater chances of very rare mods. It has been a very productive encounter out in the frozen wilds.
