If you rushed it, you can pick up a couple of those quests pretty easily and then rush forward. You could be done in maybe 5 hours? You'd be skipping a lot of content though and fast-forwarding all the cut-scenes to do it that quickly I think.
I wonder how far i can go before i'm forced to turn back, grind a few levels before returning at a later date? It will be interesting to find out.
You're gonna love that dam mission :D
i got through the dam mission without much trouble, just avoiding the spitting ice from the Snapmaw below. I actually found the second hunting challenge a lot more of an actual challenge than i expected (i'll have to return to that at a later date when Aloy has a few more levels and more stronger modifications on her new Banak bow i brought), so for now that and control towers are not on my list for the moment.
Those bigger machines are a problem, but it's just about quickly figuring out weaknesses and exploiting them, in some cases the machine is simply too powerful to fight directly and a new strategy is needed to win. Towards that end i played cat and mouse with a Frostclaw on the way up the mountain to an objective in one mission and dodging around one of those Scorchers in a side mission to save some injured girl looking to get in some clan.
I wonder what other machines i'm gonna encounter along the way! xD
on the plus part though, i've gone from level 23 to level 41 in short order because of the tougher enemies and more XP they offer, plus the greater chances of very rare mods. It has been a very productive encounter out in the frozen wilds.
