Stutter issue
From DF video did they fix that yet?
I wanna buy the game and hopefully I will get RTX3080 soon if I was lucky enough to find one, that is my biggest issue with the game so far TBH and hopefully I'll buy it as soon as I get the GPU.

Also did this game sell well?
Even though the port is not all that great I wish it did to see more sony games on PC and hopefully bloodborne. I have them all on my PS4 but I really just rather to have on steam and get 100% in them again :D

It doesn't matter if a game sold well. There are so many games that didn't sell well and were still entertaining - it's just personal preference.

At the end it all depends on what you expect from playing the game on PC.
Do you want to play it on WQHD / 4k with max. details and const. 80+ fps ? Then yes, you gonna need a very good graphics card / hardware configuration.
Is it enough for you to play it on 40-60 fps on high/mid settings, than a mid graphics card is enough.

Even I can play that game on my 3-4 year old PC with fine tuned settings on ultra, but I would have to make compromises to achieve that. Instead I'm fine and play it on high settings in 1440p.

Edit: Tested with Ultra Settings again, just for fun and and oh boy it looks like their performance improvements work for me. Can run it on Ultra now (only reflections on high).

(I could also play it on my RTX gaming laptop if I wanted a bit more power, while heaving a jet engine in front of me - LUL)

Fun fact, you might not. I heard the stock release wasn't really that much so you might need to fight for it.

The port getting better and better. They are a lot of more terrible ports on pc with bugs that are never fixed. Last excample. Mafia 2 Definitive Edition. Very bad support. They work to fix more issues. With this update the hair is fixed now and the most cutscenes running with a uncapped framerate. For me the game is really smooth. Only when I entering different areas the game is stuttering sometimes for a few seconds. I have not hte best rig anymore and I can set all to maxed out settings. Only the highest ultra texture level is increasing my performance to much..

I´m playing on this rig:

GeForce RTX 2080 driver 452.22 hot fix
16 GB G-Skill DDR 3 2400 Mhz Ram
Samsung SSD 970 Evo
Windows 10 2004
Mainboard: Asus Maximus Ranger VII
CPU: Intel Core I 7 4790K@4,0 GHz

Look at pc gamin wiki to optimize your game. Here you find all to make the game stable. It is a really smooth experience with a G-Sync Display.

Stutter during cutscenes has been dramatically improved, but during gameplay I've found the frametime is all over the place, leading to a undesirably stuttery experience. It is playable, it's just not pleasant.

Look at your refreshrate in Game. My refresh rate was set to 23 hz. If it is not running well, start the game as administrator and increase your virtual memory in the windows settings. Let not handle the memory from windows. Look if all your pcie lanes are used. Check this with gpu z. Look in your bios configuration. Use a fast ssd .

Delete the PSOCache.bin file and restart the shader compiling. Yes the game is not easy to configurate. Use the textures not on ultra and the clouds. Set the VSync and triple buffering setting to on in your display driver.

It is different for a lot of users. It is not easy to configure games on this days. It is not the only game that is difficult to configure.

Look at this link to configure the game.

I have RTX2080 and want to play this at 4K ULTRA 60FPS, I guess it is playable based on what you guys say. Just need that 3080 hopefully very soon :(

You can play with 60 fps and more you must only set the textures to high and clouds to high. The difference is minor. It is a lot higher as on console. you need more as 8 GB for ultra and with the clouds it is the same like on Odyssey. A higher resolution of volumetric clouds costs a lot performance. You want see the difference. You have no artifacts in the clouds on high settings. All looks smooth.

Can you post your system specs, please ?

My refresh rate in game and in system is 165hz. My average framerate at 1440p mostly High/Ultra settings is 76, but the framerate fluctuates between 23 and 184 fps when unlocked. I am using a fast SSD. I am using all PCIE lanes, and I am in XMP mode for my dual channel memory.

It is not an issue on my end. Like I've said, the game is very playable, it's just unpleasant.

At 1440p yes but not 4k brother
Mad-Evil-Beavis 2020 年 9 月 16 日 上午 8:02
This game looks crisp enough in 1440p. I don´t know why all want play in 4k and why the industries set on the 4k hype train for pc´s. In the past full hd was the best what you can get. The reason is the post processing antialiasing. I don´t know if you know the franchise of risen. I played risen with y graphic mods on 1440p with ogssaa and sgssaa and it looks superp and crisp. No flickering a crisp and fine detailed image, and no bluriness that comes from the postprocessing Antialiasing. I mean in the past games looks cripser overall. WE need better antialiasing like in the past. Not 8k resolutions and more on monitors.

Talking about myself here, I've been playing at 4K since 2015 with 2 980tis on SLI and it was great till SLI died in 2017. In 2018 wanted to get rid of SLI and gotten RTX 2080 and it has been very underwhelming. 1440p while still pretty decent it really is blurry compared to 4K, I think playing this game at 4K will make it a much better experience.

Honestly I said the same thing for Resident evil 2 and 3 but I just couldn't wait more so played them at 1440p.

For me I hope games looking better and better with dlss 2.0 in the future that you don´t need postprocessing anymore to manage games that gamengines used much deferred shaders. This is the biggest reason why games use only postprocessing aa. Control is a game that looks very good now with dlss 2.0 and looks amazingly crisp in 1440p. Odyssey looks totally blurred in this resolution. I don´t know how dlss 2.0 looks on real 4k monitors, but the improvement must be big instead of using TAA or different postprocessing antialiasing. Yes it is underwhelming that SLI Support is not working like in the past. I have to 970 in the past and switch to 980 Ti and than to 2080 RTX and in older games that supports SLI well, I´ve never reached again those benchmark scores. In the past I have used downsampling in all actual games of the decade to reach high resolutions. It was stable and fast.

I've used DLSS 2.0 on 1080p, 1440p, and 4K monitors, and it really is a game changer. I personally am fine with TAA as an anti-aliasing solution, I think it looks fine, but DLSS just looks better, and with the 2.0 version often has more detail than native resolution. The significant performance boost is also quite nice

TAA is to blurry for me on the most games. Sharpening the image is no real alternative. Maybe TAA looks better on newer g-sync monitors. I´ve one of the first from asus.

TAA is definitely blurry. I just like that is produces a "clean" image that's free of noise. It definitely comes down to personal preference, though
