Thanks for the reply :)
I'll give it a try this evening.
However performance is still less than it should be, and the frame-time is almost universally horrible, so most users will not a smooth experience, regardless of hardware.
I should note that update 1.06 is set to drop any day now, and appears to be the biggest update yet.
Still, the game controls are broken to me. It's as if you'd drive a car and every 1-2 mins. some egghead grabs the steering wheel to force the car into another direction than I intend to. Sometimes I can't charge my bow, or switch to the weapon-wheel or just run straight and my camera view spins around. AND STILL, I permanently have 60 FPS, while my CPU is on average on ~20% usage/output, with a maximum usage of ~7.5 GB for RAM.
So... from that point... how do you define "improved performance"? And I've played this game for >200 hours by now
perfect:. no
It's approaching 3 weeks since any update.
I'm choosing to be hopeful that this longer length of time in patch deployment is because Virtuos is actually getting their ♥♥♥♥ together and fixing LOD, pop-in, anisotropic filtering, stuttering, asset streaming, crashes, alpha shimmering, broken TAA, and KB+M camera considerations.
Let's all hope 1.06 is a proper update.
And I'm also reminding myself to never, ever, ever Day 1 purchase a game at full price again.
Aye, still get the odd stutter...
I dont do any day 1 purchases either but HZD was an exception, cause i really wanted to support the move of porting games to PC, only to see its not well done.. #NeverAgain

Ryzen 3900X
RTX 2080Ti
32GB DDR4 RAM @ 3600Mhz
Sabrent PCiE Gen 4 NVME SSD (where I have HZD located using Steam Mover app) -> helps a lot on loading times and makes gamplay much smoother... even on snow area DLC.
