Plenty of other people are having crash problems.

The questions are:
Specs? (preferably copy-pasted from what's shown in dxdiag)
What are your GFX settings in-game? (and how were those set? game recommended, manual, or external program?)

I'm having the same problem. It's during her dialogue.

GPU?
I wouldn't doubt if game is running out of either Vram or System memory. Please note that it's just theory, and I have no proof of this, However, I have had game hit over 11 GB System memory after many hours of play and hit 11.4+ GB Vram and I'm only playing at 1080p/60 Locked.

Windows 10 isn't the most lite OS and while most time it's generally does ok job of handling memory. There are times when it fails horribly and that when these crashes/drivers issues can pop up. The game isn't best port either and that plays huge part imo. DX12 + Win10 is bloatware, I do not care what anybody else say. IDTech dev have said years ago (2016) " It makes no sense for devs too choose DX12 vs vulkan, simply because it gives devs better performance and control over game "

Doom game engine is very optimizes game engine.. Could also be why MS bought out Zenimax?? Who knows, time will tell I guess.

Here is screenshot of one time my HZD using 10.1 GB Vram.. I was like WTF?
https://media.discordapp.net/attachments/495731816662171658/760565799164444672/image0.jpg

Screenshot I took with my tablet cuz MSI afterburner was not saving screenshots with stats and steam wouldn't capture the stats overlay either. I think its DX12 issue because Discord overlay also does not work. MSI after burner has crash a few times on me with HZD too.

He is running GTX 1050ti 4 GB. Imo it may not be enough and could cause game to crash after many hours of play. 1050ti is less powerful than PS4 Pro imo, but slightly better base Ps4. It has approx about 2.1 Tflops. Base PS4 is 1.8 ish.

and YES I know you can not really compare AMD Gpu TFlop to Nvidia Gpu Tflops. but gives you an estimated idea of performance.

This is just my wild theory, The game may have memory leak for both system memory and Vram. I can't confirm this atm. Perhaps somebody else can do some testing. I also think this maybe why its also causing some sound issue in the game for few ppl.

All can recommend is..

make sure your using newest drivers from Nvidia, Not from manufacturer website if your gpu is Desktop gpu (Don't matter if MSI/Asus/Gigabyte/Evga etc etc)

Nvidia : https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx?lang=en-us

If your playing on laptop, then yes its recommended use their drivers from manufacturer of your laptop. You also might want make sure you got the latest DX12 files from Microsoft.

Hope this helps some

Update: Found this site which also " Confirms" My idea that game is using huge amount system memory/Vram. Scroll down to Issues unresolved. for suggestion on fixes

hah had feeling I wasn't only one notice huge usage of memory lol

It's crashing here for me as well. First crash I've had all game, so I suppose I should consider myself lucky...

No Matter what dialog options I pick, the game always crashes during this conversation. Not always at the same place though. Can't finish the DLC without getting through this.

I have a Ryzen 5 3600, a GTX 970, and 16 GB RAM.

That's what I ended up doing as well. As long as I didn't let either of them finish a line, it didn't crash.

Same here.
Almost 90 hours without any crashes & in this scene it crashes constantly.
This needs 2 be fixed.

I'm now at the end of the DLC where you come back here and talk to CYAN. Crashed again. So it's something about this room that causes it to crash.

I got the crashes also during the talk with Cyan. But i did change the language from German to English for this dialogue and it worked. After this scene i did switch back to German and no crashes happened.
