Where's the save file location?

I want to backup the save files just in case a new patch deletes them or something else happens. Anyone know where it's located?

In user's documents folder.

It depends if you are using OneDrive.
Without OneDrive:
C: \ Users \ <your username > \ Documents \ Horizon Zero Dawn \ Saved Game
With OneDrive:
C:\ Users \ <your username> \ OneDrive \ Documents \ Horizon Zero Dawn \ Saved Game

...\Users\<your user name>\Documents\Horizon Zero Dawn\Saved Game

You missed the part many people had issues with.

Previously the savegames got somewhat saved into a OneDrive folder, even though people not actively used OneDrive, but just had it installed or not switched off properly. ;)

So it's not completely sure of where the OP might have his savegames.
Both links I posted could be a valid solution.

Nah, I didn't really miss the part many people had issues with, just that I knew how to take my Documents folder out of my OneDrive some time back! ;) But anyone with a brain should be able to find their Documents folder, if they can't then maybe they shouldn't be using modern tech! lol

My slow internet connection would take way too many hours to upload the contents of my Documents folder to OneDrive!

I never had any issues with the savegames being saved into a dubious OneDrive folder either.
Have it uninstalled since my first run of this rig and after any reinstalling of Windows, I'll remove it either.
I have my own backups. that's enough for me. :)
