Without OneDrive:
C: \ Users \ <your username > \ Documents \ Horizon Zero Dawn \ Saved Game
With OneDrive:
C:\ Users \ <your username> \ OneDrive \ Documents \ Horizon Zero Dawn \ Saved Game
...\Users\<your user name>\Documents\Horizon Zero Dawn\Saved Game
Previously the savegames got somewhat saved into a OneDrive folder, even though people not actively used OneDrive, but just had it installed or not switched off properly. ;)
There were plenty of threads about it:

So it's not completely sure of where the OP might have his savegames.
Both links I posted could be a valid solution.
My slow internet connection would take way too many hours to upload the contents of my Documents folder to OneDrive!
Have it uninstalled since my first run of this rig and after any reinstalling of Windows, I'll remove it either.
I have my own backups. that's enough for me. :)
When I tried to launch the game from steam - there was a conflicts with the save files. It offered me two options:
1) Local - new game one day old as I mentioned
2) Steam cloud - one year old with all of my progress.
My play time is saved and I can continue playing from where I left one year ago :) Geez, I am happy..
