What is the goal to buy multiple time the same map for thing special item ?

There is a map for each special item (except data points, which would be nice either. :()

One map = location of special item such as 1x metal flower.

Collect enough metal flowers and you can trade it in for cool stuff.

None. There's no point of buying the same maps for multiple times.

Like Wabba said there is no point to buy multiple maps for the same item. They just have multiple vendors to buy them from if you missed them along the way.

When you open up a vendor buy list, if you already own an item, there is usually a little icon that pops up in the lower left hand corner of the item icon that shows you already own that item.

I wish I found this before. I bought 2 maps for each thing. I thought it would show more and more etc. Good thing I questioned it before I bought a third and fourth lol.
