I found a fun way to cheese Stormbird
Just treat it like a Dark Souls boss - roll towards it until you get between its legs, then hack away at its ankles, just like in Dark Souls. If it jumps back, just keep rolling. It can't do much if you aren't in front of it. Screw tying it down or freezing it, why take that risk when you can just break its AI and humiliate it?

I usually just use a max frost modded banuk warrior bow to freeze it, then use the adept banuk striker bow with triple shot, and it does like over 1000 damage if you hit the bird in the chest. Takes it down in about 10-20 seconds. Ez

I had none of that fancy gear, unfortunately, so I had to get creative.

Yeah, the first time I fought a stormbird it took me a while, same with the thunderjaw. Then when you start getting really good coils and learn that frost is OP, everything becomes easy mode, even on Ultra Hard.

Stormbird imo is way easier than thunderjaw or rockbreaker. Its bolts is very slow and you can easily roll away from its dive attack. i fought it witout frost arrow too and it just felt tedious

They all require different amounts. There's a banuk hunter, sharpshot and warrior bow, and I think they're about 12-18 bluegleam, but again, each require different amounts.

They're not technically the best bows in the game, since they have a longer (like, really long) charge speed, but do way more damage at max charge. They do however, do more damage per shot if you max charge them.

It's a playstyle thing. I tend to find myself using the regular shadow hunter bow a lot, cause I like rapid firing
