I wish I had known the DLC takes place before the ending! That's what I get for trying to avoid spoilers at all cost I guess. Once you beat the main game it actually rewinds time to before the ending so that you can do the DLC and have it make sense, but that feels so weak after the big finale that I really wish I had done it the proper way, and that is: reach mid-level 30's, go through the DLC, THEN beat the game.That's the way it's intended.

What's the best point to start the DLC? I'm right before the final battle for Meridian, I guess.

without dlc it was the same after end it saves just before so that u can continue to do sidequests and everything else to get all Achievments, and it is a hook for new game plus. So if u start new game plus u have everything what u have found (weapons money whole invertory) till that savegame So DONT DELET IT. ;) The DLC came on PS4 way later and is designed to do it before or after the normal ending.

In new game plus there are better Armor and weapons and other devices like Masks. The New equipment is really needed in the highest difficulty and its worth it to play again.

i mean the requirement says level 30 and is a side quest. Luckily I always prioritize sidequests and map exploring before main but in return i'm level 50 and my main quest is at 16 lol.

I did it as soon as I got the last power cell for the shield weaver, which is like, 3 quests before the final one I think.

Yeah, I assumed it would be like Witcher 3's DLC. But the trashing of parts of M. gave the devs a difficult choice--live with the main campaign terrain changes, or miraculously fix everything, or rewind.

Thanks for the heads up, I would have done the same thing although i am level 46 now and my main quest is 15 lol

This is exactly where I pivoted to the DLC and am having a great time in that area on very hard at level ~50.

I started it after meeting Sylens at FAS HQ. After the DLC and quests where u learn about Zero Dawn I went back and explained everything to CYAN.

I had platinumed the game on ps4 long before they released Frozen Wilds so I started right before the final quest. Good thing too because most of FW is endgame content.
