Some areas in the frozen wilds do actually have snow deformation, just not all. And I'm pretty sure they didn't implement it cause it had something to do with the PS4. Can't remember now tho

It's a confirmed bug by the devs. Only one suit of armor triggers the snow deformation, all NPC's trigger it and machines. We're the only ones who do not atm, unless wearing the secret armor.

Cannot confirm this.

The NPCs and the machines don't trigger it either.

They just were near the Deep Din, I'll see if they do in other areas.

They should do it everywhere.
I've recorded a comparison between PC's and PS4's effects in the same area.

PC: Only shield weaver outfit makes snow effects.
PS4: All outfits make snow effects and enemies, wild life and machines too.

I would recommend to play with the special armor that you collect after you bring in 5 power cells, for some reason it works fine with it

Ohhhh, right, I see. Tbf I was using the shield weaver a lot during The frozen wilds, so it's probably why I didn't notice the snow deformation. Thanks for the info

You do realise that you have made a positive claim and that positive claims require evidence to back them up? Why did the devs not run out of time or run into a resource buffer? How have you eliminated all other possible reasons to arrive at the only possible conclusion of lazy?

Also, you may want to look up what a post hoc fallacy is.

oh ben shapiro has arrived....

btw since the shield weaver armor and the rope deform the snow, its more likely that they removed the effect from everything but overlooked these 2 things :P

and if it was about time, there was enough time to remove the bug since release, did you consider any of that?

Reminder: game was ported by side company called Virtuous, not guerilla games itself.

Virtuous, the developer behind the port, on behalf of Guerrilla Games, has seemingly managed to release a DX12 game with only a modicum of pre-launch jitters. And we've not even had to drop the game down to DX11 in order for it to boot—I cannot understate how surprising that is.
