The only issues i have with either are - the delay between aiming with the bow, firing, then accidentally striking with sword instead of firing with bow again..very annoying. Using focus ignores sensitivity settings making turning slow and zooms right in, which makes me nauseous.
I don't have it up yet but I should by tonight but go to my playlist https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLkdqp16ufvSlraVqdDoN8aK58dxCH308H
and look for Part 11 and start at 10:30 into the video which is the battle during The Proving and you can see how I do it ...... I use a similar technique with Watchers to get "eye shots" ..... If you watch some of the other videos (non-monetized) you can see I'm pretty aggressive and hunt anything and everything every chance I get
And hell, I am jumping during fight like a rubber ball 😈
I have played "Remnant-From the Ashes" with controller. Primary you shoot with weapons in this game and shooting works perfect for me. Done much head shots without problems.
Playing Mouse is more fair and actually not much easier often...
The "aim assist" in HZD is the most egregious I've ever seen. It's really only useful for hitting far away human targets in the dark when you can barely see them.
For hitting weakpoints it's actually a hindrance. Many times I've seen my arrows literally curve away from where I was aiming to hit a random armor plate or just the main body.
I've played many, many shooters on console, and most of the time that whole "aim assist" crap is a myth. Your shots hit where your reticle is...it's not an auto-headshot feature like PC players would like to believe.
Some games actually do the subtle tracking or minor adjustment for you from certain distance. In this game however, it's not slowing down your crosshair when you sweep across the target or track it. but the arrow is like homing missiles, sometimes you don't even need to lead the arrow and it will still hit the target regardless.
i think it's similar to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BpS-ATB69Y
minus the tracking or slowing down
