What to sell?
I'm currently level 7 and i don't want to lose important items because i sold important items for crafting so what item is kinda useless should i sell for money?

hopefully someone will come along with a better answer for you but in the meantime,
i'm assuming you noticed that some items are labeled only as "sell to vendors for shards",
e.g. "Ancient Bright Bracelet", "Ancient Wreath", "Machine Core", so obviously sell those.
Otherwise it probably depends on what kind of crafting you chose to do.

I always keep Blaze and Wire for the corresponding arrow types but have never found
a use for, say, Chill Water or Frozen Rime so I immediately sell those. Your situation might
be the opposite.

When interacting with an NPC, some items will show in their description if they are used for something, be it ammunition or exchange with other merchants. There are items of which you only get shards and are not used for anything else. I recommend that you obtain your shards by killing machines or bandits, at least for a while.

Sorry about my bad English btw.

From my experience, besides selling Machine Cores and Ancient items, I sold items of excess to make space for other items. At some point I'm going to have to stay away from picking up ridge-wood but things such as Machine parts I tend to sell to merchants quite often like Watcher lens as it is an item that I frequently acquire. Sell your mods also, the ones that you do not need anyway.

Just sell every coloured item, greens and blues. Keep everything else and look at what you want to buy from vender - they need certain machine parts to buy certain items and just don’t sell the machine parts you need.

Honestly, after the opening area, I quit picking up ridgewood entirely. Easier to just occasionally buy a couple of the bundles from vendors.

Don't sell Machine Parts like Hearts, they're needed to buy new Armour/Weapons, don't sell Animal Skins, also Bones, they're needed to upgrade your pouches. Don't sell Ammunition like Chillwater/Blaze etc.. unless you've many stacks of it, you'll eventually figure stuff out. Happy Gaming :)

Chill Water is for the Ice Cannon, Ice Bomb, and more, super OP weapons.

Every item says if it is used for crafting, trading, selling for shards, or etc. I horde everything and sale only items that's only description is "selling for shards." If it says anything else I save them all.

What I decided to do after not having what I needed to make new weapons and armor because I kept selling stuff to soon, is keep everything I could use to make something I wanted.

Look at the vendors and see what it takes to make the things you are going to want to make.

You will see that armor and bows always need to have some hard to get item.
Make a list of hearts 💕 and other items needed besides shards.

I.e. to make a heavy stealthy bow may need a Watcher Heart or something, so if you get one don't sell it.

Keep all the items on your list and when you have enough shards and the item go and upgrade your armor and weapon at the vendor.

Once I started doing that it went smoothly, and I have mostly purple gear at level 24.

There seems to be no limit to what level you have to be to wear good armor.
So you can get high level heavy armor at a pretty low level if you can find the stuff to make it.

It really helps to have a powerful bow and good all round armor.

This and Sell all items marked as 'sell only' - that's what I do for Ultra Hard difficulty. If there's some animlal part I need for upgragrdes or machine part for trading, gotta hunt for it.

120 slots is NOT enough. I can't even pick anything blue worth selling anymore :/
btw
WHAT ARE ACTUALY THOSE "TREASURE BOXES" good for?
This trash keep mysteriously appears in my inventory, and im not sure why. Is this some kind of quest reward? It doesnt make any sense.

Anyway, It's just little annoying. I have more than enough resources even without these things.

Some treasure boxes are given as quest rewards, others will be picked up from machines. At least the treasure boxes don't take up inventory space, and you can leave resources in them for "extra" space; you don't need to remove the contents immediately.
look for thigns tagged with trade to trader sin their info, and keep the blue at least body part loot from machines since a merchant in meridian trades them as well as another couple vendors in the game iirc. also keep the jewel style loot that humans drop, since you can get money/ammo from trading those for certain chests from another meridian vendor and then selling the traps and junk inside of them for more than the jewels themselves would have sold for. keep animal parts untily ou have maxed out every pouch completely, and then keep the rare parts from frozen wilds animals since frozen wilds vendors need them for some treasure boxes and other things too iirc. anything else is junk(but some Can still be traded to the same box merchant you trade the jewels too I think or maybe it was a different meridian npc than him). also, most of the green and blue machine parts you'll eventually not need once you used them with vendors to get what they can buy you. but that is a long way intot he game for some of the blue parts, which drop far less often so still hold onto those to be safe. iirc especially the crab shells and blue parts from thunderlizard and thunderbirds
