Horizon Zero Dawn CPU without AVX

the game won't start without AVX support by the CPU.
Maybe that's an workaround...
GO TO

https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/intel-software-development-emulator.html

and Download the sde-external-8.56.0-2020-07-05-win.tar.bz2 for Windows.
Unzip the file and start the sde-win.bat
in the DOS window navigate to the Steam directory where the game is locatet and start the

HorizonZeroDawn.exe

The game is starting but the performance is really ♥♥♥♥ :-D
It was worth a try :-)

but why? even if it works it will be running at 10 fps cause non-avx cpus are 10+ years old.

... that is a horrible idea. You can't emulate cpu instructions and expect good performance in a game that already has some of the worst performance of the last decade. Hell I almost think they completely remade the game in Unity because it runs so bad while also looking average at best

AVX is an instruction set that speeds up Vector math which is what 3D space is all about. If it works it will run like shiz..

patch isn't gonna remove avx requirement. the game won't run without it.

UBI, Capcom, Square removed AVX from requirement with their modern games.

i dunno about that but this game heavily relies on avx to run and it's probably not possible to remove without completely gimping it.
