Hunting Ground Trials: Shellwalker crates

I'm doing the last of the hunting ground trials and am on "Slight of crate" I am supposed to loot 4 crates in 1:05 sec. I can only find 3 on the ground so I assume I need to blow one of the crates off of a Shellwalker, turns out on PC I am unable to terrblast the crates off, so I am unable to finish the trial, either this is a bug, or there is 4 (couldn't find the 4th) crates and this was an intentional change. I was able to terrblast the crates off the shellwalkers on PS4 so I assume this is a bug. the reason I'm thinking this is a bug is because some of the shellwalkers don't have crates on their back and will pick them up and put them on, so you need to be able to terrblast them off, I bought the PC version and cant blow them off, I have tried every version I used, 1,2 or 3 terrblast arrows none work, I have done it several times and in one instance emptied a whole quiver, so hopefully it gets a patch soon, I know you get better weapons in the DLC but still, I'm a completionest

Shellwalkers have a part on the back that holds the crates in place. Are you shooting at that, or the crates themselves?

First thing: There are around 6 crates lying around. The Shell-walkers will try to pick them up, so you'll have to be quick before they can do so. There are 2 spots where there are crates.

Secondly: This is EXACTLY the same with the PS4. It's not a bug. Why would you assume it was a bug? The blast radius of the tearblas arrow is pretty huge. You may have gotten lucky on PS4. You have to tearblast its back. If you look carefully, there is a clamp between the cargo and the Shell-walker's back. DO NOT shoot the tearblast arrows directly at the cargo. You can even break the clamp with a normal arrow.

I finished all the hunting grounds pretty early on, so you can be sure I did it. Can check my achievements.

I struggled with this as well.
What I did, is to use the right-most zipline, quickly grabbed two crates lying on the ground, tearblasted the third one, sprinted to the left and tearblasted the 4th - it's fuc**d up but possible to get a blazing sun.
Remember than you need to shoot *at the back* of a shellwalker for the tearblast arrow to work in this case.

I did pretty much all of the side quests at about the mid point of the game including the hunting grounds. My strat was to use the right-most zipline. Run/Slide into a shell-walker and override him. Pick up the two crates literally next to him. Them while he caused a ruckus I jump snipped the two shell walkers over by the left zipline area with Tear arrows and picked up their crates. With a little bit of luck it was finished on my third or so try. But like above if you look at the back of them they have a cargo clamp. That prevents them from hoisting a crate. That info is also available after scanning the machine and looking into the Notebook.

I have played this game all the way through 4 different times including on ultra hard difficulty. You don't have to aim at the clip on the back, I was already aware about that when you scan it, with 3 tearblast arrows it will always dislodge or completely destroy the walker as long as you aim between the body and the crate, I have done this a 1000 times at any location, the tearblast AOE is large enough to envelope the entire create, In all 4 playthrough's I was able to blow the crate off with no problem's. Now if there are 6 crates, I was never able to find them, just the 3, If you get there in time you can avoid the walker picking the crates up, the other 2 are easy and always on the ground, I will look again for more than just the 3, but even on PS4 I was unable to find 4 just laying about, I just tearblated the crates off, it was way faster than searching all around, I never bothered to look because of that. If you don't believe me that you can tearblast the crates off at any location with 3 tearblast arrows you can try it yourself, just make sure to aim between the body and crate, and a full draw is required.
