Frame rate absolutely TANKS in certain areas
In Cauldrons in particular, the frame rate drops in half. I have an RTX 2080 Ti/9900K and easily maintain 70fps at 3440x1440 everywhere but Cauldrons destroy frame rate bringing it into the low 30's to high 20's.

Entering villages during rainfall also cripples FPS. The mission with Nil where you clear out the camp had my performance constantly hover around 30-40fps.

Anyone else experienced this?

Finally someone acknowledge this, yep is a big problem with the game, you need too much of a gpu headroom to be safe.
So even you with a 2080ti suffering from this, the rest of us are doom to a 1080p resolution to avoid issues.

Not sure if it will help but you could try putting prefer maximum performance for this game in the Nvidia Control Panel. Might boost your fps a bit.

Yes I experience the same ♥♥♥♥ you do and I have a 2080ti as well. They need to fix stuttering and streaming before anything else

i have the same with the nil mission and just stopped playing i hope they come with some optimasation soon

This is pretty much the same performance problem I'm having, happens regardless of settings. If I drop everything to low there's barely a difference. I'm also playing with 80% render scaling, which only alleviates the problem in some areas...

Wait till you have to fight enemies after activating core in Cauldron. Its becomes beyond cinematic xD

I have that at default and I experience frame drops like crazy. I have an i9-10900k@5GHz, a lot of RAM at 17 17 17 28 3200MHz, an NVMe and 2080 Super. This game runs like ♥♥♥♥ for me, while apparently it runs perfectly fine for people with worse hardware.

I do not have this issue, I have a stable 60-70 framerate in all areas. I also got an 2080ti, an 1800x, 32GB of RAM and the game is on an m.2 ssd. I can't go higher than 2560 or the fps start dropping though.

The only time I really notice FPS dropping hard is when it’s raining. I’ll go from a smooth consistent 70-75fps down to the mid 50s when it’s raining.

Not a huge deal for me though. 50 FPS is still fine for me. I just happened to noticed it when I was doing some testing.

The cauldrons have insane triss, so no wonder the performance tanks, still limited by triangles with this engine, not a lot can be done with it other than reduce reflections, shadows, model quality.

I... forgot. everything on max except clouds, ingame vsync is off and forced through drivers.

Have you tried going into a Cauldron?

The hell, I tried again and performance is fine now. :/

I've an i7 with 1080 (not ti) and I DO NOT have your issue. I read somewhere there is issue with all the 20 series.

I however get constant crashes after an hour or so and I tried everything... Drivers, closing all startup apps, disabling anisotropic filtering, playing full screen or windowed, nothing changes it.

Exactly what is was wondering using 2070 Super / 1440p. The mission with nil , entered the bandit camp in rain with lots of alpha effects and frame rate dropped from mid 60’s to 35-45 range. Stopped playing thereafter 🤨
