Sleight of crate trial is unfair

How the ♥♥♥♥ are they expecting us to get a blazing sun for this one?
There is just one crate on the ground and the rest are all on Shell walkers.
And you can't get 4 crates in the same place, you have to sprint for the last one.
Also I've watched clips from the console version. You have 2 places with 3 crates on the ground. And even then you have a hard time 4 crates in the allotted time.
This is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Yeah they patched it since PS4.
Originally there were 2 spots with 3 crates, which resulted in people just running in, looting and completing the trial in like 7 seconds flat.
Now there's only 1 crate on the ground in both spots, so basically run in loot the 2 ground crates and use conc arrows or tear blaster to knock 2 crates of the walkers and loot those.

Really, that is possible?? I tried to do that, but the crates always just disapiered from its back...

Oh it is possible. When you look at Shell Walker with Focus you see the structure over its back that holds the Crate. If you damage that structure the crate will fall down.

shooting a volley of 3 tearblast arrows directly underneath the shellwalkers will usually stun them. Leaving easy pickings to knock the shell off .

Yeah, i tried to hit that, and when it broke the crate was gone too... but it could be that i missed it and hit the create itself LOL....

Yeah that happened to me as well. Don't aim for the crate, aim beneath it at the crab.
The blast will knock off the crate as well.

look for the yellow clamps near the bottom of the shell.

I've been having the same issue here. Both the left and right areas only have one crate on the ground and the rest being carried by the bots. As soon as you approach the crate on the right, you set off the Stalker alert and stuff just goes to crap at that point. Why is this called a stealth mission when stealth has NOTHING to do with it?

Not to mention the 1:05 time limit for the blazing sun.

Soooo... other than this and the occasional crash to desktop, I'm having a good time with it.

I reviewed this game and said it had challenge without frustration. This trial negates my view. I have read guides, watched videos and must have attempted the trial 100 times. My latest attempt, I did it exactly at 1.05 time .. but still no blazing sun. So close. This trial is THE most frustrating thing about the game. 1.05 time limit is just ridiculous. Got lucky on that attempt with 3 crates on the ground. But even if u succeed in knocking off a crate, the dang shell walker picks it up in the next second.

This is the video I used to get the Blazing Sun. Mind ya, I did it far faster, since you don't need to charge the bow or piddle around like they do. But I'm only linking this video, since the others are of pre-patched HZD, this one was the patch that made the trial harder.

So, if ya can do what they are doing, poorly as they are doing it, should be able to do it. I did mine is 51 seconds. Tearblast their butts, use stealth armor with stealth mods so can practically run past everything on the outer edge.

Thanks for sharing the video, but that is nothing like my experience .. where are all the machines that immediately attack you once you shoot off a crate? I have tried in stealth gear and mods. Makes no difference to machines attacking me. You ppl who succeeded .. was it in Story (easiest) mode?

I was playing on Ultra Hard, since I derped and forgot that you don't get the achievement until New Game+ So, quite possible, even I can do it on UH.

Phewwww finally did it! Used stealth gear, tearblast arrows (tearblaster is no good). Make sure you shoot at the hinge/bracket .. not the actual shell). Far right rope. Following the edge of cliff as in that video did help. Thanks a lot Komarimaru! :)

Sprint to the left, I always see two crates.

Then to the right with tearblast.

Took me a few times. There's tougher stuff in this game.

Anytime! And tearblaster kinda nukes all parts around an area, so can break the poor crates too. Great for fighting Thundermaw's etc though!
