Tutorial quests are not registering
So there are these "Tutorial quests" which says you should "0/3 Trip machines with Blast Wire" or "0/3 Trip machines with shock wire" or "tie down small machines with rope arrow".

But why are these quests not registering?

I have already used at least 10 blast wires and 4-5 shock wires on one of the named machines like striders or blazers or watchers. And progress is still 0/3.
Doesn't matter if the trip wire killed them or just triggered them. Nothing.
Same for rope arrows. Doesn't matter how many ropes i shoot into the Blazers. No registration.
Any ideas?

Got the same issue.

I found that you have to be actively tracking the quest for it to count.

You need to set them as your active quest. For me it worked

Yeah already tried it. Was my 1st thought too. But didn't help.

I really hoped they would fix that for the PC release, but it is just as it was back on launch on the PS4. It's the only negative thing about the game I can think of actually, and maybe that picking up herbs to fill your medicine pouch gets stale really fast

Now i tried again with tracking the quest.
Well true that, now it is tracking the progress. But even so not always. Pretty inconsistent if you ask me. :(

Bug still exists.

It's not a bug...I think it's supposed to get the player to actively go after the Tutorial quest by equipping it...when the point of them are to make the player try out the weapon and see what it can do.

Of course the game never tells us to do that so all of us had the same discovery period where we didn't get credit for one and then looked it up online. Once you find out, it's not a big deal since you can activate them any time but it's a strange choice when no other quest types work that way.

The only one it's really an issue for is the multi kills with the blast sling one. But that's mostly because it's harder to find clusters of human enemies once you've cleared out bandit camps and such. Fewer human respawns.

^I'd agree there. I activated mine while raiding a bandit camp so I got it that way...but I think there's a few camps where bandits respawn so I know someone could go back to those.

Wait, human enemies? I did it with Grazers lol. I spent the time to hurt them all to just about dead, and then lured them together and would finish them off with blast sling. Human enemies probably would have been easier.

Some quest worked, the Warbow Tutorial where you have to hit energycells of the enemies, did not count it...

From my experience it seems it does sometimes sorta track them outside of them not being selected, but they can only be finished if they are actively selected.

So for example, if you need to shock 3 enemies weak to shock damage, it will never finish if you don't have it selected. but if you have it selected it will say 0/3. but it might complete after shocking only 1 machine, as if it internally tracked the first 2 times you shocked enemies without it being tracked, but didn't update the counter on the quest.
