Machines not dropping certain components

Trying to farm Sawtooth's for their hearts, but the farm I'm running keeps dropping the same parts EVERYTIME; Same value of Shards, same exact Armor Mod. Over and over again. If this is a bug, it needs to be addressed and fixed.

Just gotta get lucky. I had the same issue with some crab-like machine, needing its heart. Remember, you are trying to farm the rare part. RNG will toy with you as long as it pleases.

Fair. I know it's rare, but I don't remember having this hard of a time acquiring one on the PS4 game. Maybe you're right.

how you take down the machine has an effect on which parts get dropped, stop killing them the same way over and over

I'm fully aware of this. I've tried the normal bow, the Precision Bow, I've tried burning them. Nothing is giving me different results, same parts and values over and over.

Some weapons/armor requires you to give certain rare items as well as a hefty bag of shards to purchase them.

Update: Tried multiple Sawtooth spawns. Tried everyway imaginable, short of dropping a ACME anvil on one, and nothing is giving me the hearts I need. I'm starting to believe this may be a genuine issue and not bad RNG. EDIT: Bad RNG. Just got it after I typed this post :) Still, way too much effort for one heart. The rates need to be increased slightly or something.

Just a question for you OP. Are you killing the sawtooths, not getting the loot then resetting?

I've found that-- if I kill the same 3 Tramplers for their hearts. they'll drop the same loot regardless where I go. I've had to kill the mobs, save, and go kill more.

Spent 45 mins for 2 hearts. Once I started killing and saving. I found 2 in 10 mins.

Anecdotal, but maybe it'll help?

Can't say I've had the same experience. But I got the skill to get an increased chance of rare drops. I have about 5+ of each heart and lens. Enough that I'm selling them pretty frequently to traders.

I just buy the components i need like hearts. Easier than farming tbh

Yea I was killing the same mobs, checking loot, then reset from last save. Just really bad RNG. Drop rates need to be slightly tweeked, because most vendors don't sell the rare components that you need and it's a pain.
