Remove AVX requirement.
The AVX requirement is blocking so many players from running the game. Back when RE7 was launched, that also had a SSSE3 requirement that also stopped many people from running the game.

The SSSE3 requirement was removed from RE7 in a patch and so everyone who had problems, was able to run the game fine.

The AVX requirement is unnecessary, please remove it.

Might be time to upgrade your CPU...my old AMD FX 6350 had AVX support...
Diviance Aug 7, 2020 @ 12:40pm
You almost have to have a CPU from 2010 or before to get one without AVX support. This is a non-issue.
Komarimaru Aug 7, 2020 @ 12:41pm
AVX is a standard on all CPU's since 2012? Came out before then I believe. If you're still using a CPU without it, it truly is time to upgrade.

2011, actually.

You have ABSOLUTELY no basis for that statement.

Pfft, off by a year. I can't keep all the techno brain stuff in my head. Would go nuts. lol

Why would you want to cripple the game and not use faster, more modern and more efficient instruction set ?
Just so your obsolete CPU can start the game and stutter because it is below minspec to begin with ? :3

Still not time, because i7-920 (with 1660Ti) can run about every modern game (except DS and Horizon) with max/ultra settings and 30-60-more fps. No reason to upgrade computer (new CPU = new MB = new RAM) for only two games.

Your xeons are too old.

You could have 256gb of ram and it wouldn't matter. You don't have the AVX instruction set, the game doesn't work.
Viper Aug 7, 2020 @ 3:58pm
AVX is part of the programming libraries being used in the game. You don't just remove it.

I feel like I'm one of the few that actually updates hardware here. I have no problems running this game on ultra settings.

Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-9900KF CPU @ 3.60GHz (16 CPUs), ~3.6GHz

65536MB RAM

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Ti 12G VRAM

I usually update hardware every 2-3 years (over a period of time, not all at once), and I've had very little problems with games that most others I've seen have. :dos2barrel:

Lol the dude thinks you can remove a CPU instruction from the game code just like that lol. Also AVX is nothing new, if you want to play modern games get a modern pc.

Actually Ubisoft patched both Crew 2 and Breakpoint I believe to remove the AVX issues.. both games run perfectly.
I run RDR2 on ultra .. yet can't run this at all.

And for those that say upgrade.. gladly want to loan me the $3000 it'll cost here in Australia to upgrade both CPU and Motherboard then the Ram and the re-install of Windows and everything ?

BY patching them. Not just saying the requirements are removed. We did absolutely nothing to the game but you can play it now. If you refuse to move along with technology dont expect technology to wait for you.
