They said for years, it can't be done, but apparently Minecraft or some crap needed it and it was done easily.

DX12 was one of the big selling points to upgrade to Windows 10. Most games still don't use it years later, M$ said at the time it would be impossible for it to run on Windows 7, well they proved themselves wrong recently when they had nothing to lose.

My favorite thing about win7 posts is how quickly they fill up with utter halfwits. If you have nothing of use to say on the topic at hand, skip the damn thing.

Icy, DX12 was partially imported into Windows 7 due to Blizzard/Activision paying out a crap ton of money for them to do it. Why to this date, only World of Warcraft runs on DX12 in Windows 7, but only partially and not as effectively as the same hardware and Windows 10.

I'm currently decrypting the this game on a Windows 7 rig I made to test if it will run. You can checking the "Official Windows 7 support thread" for details as it progresses. Could work, and need some tweaks, could flop and never even startup.

That’s why they include MINIMUM specs too. Windows 7 will be dead for gaming moving forward. It’ll keep playing the old stuff but won’t play the new stuff now or in the future.

@Holyvision, currently only 3dmark and death stranding don't work for me. Everything else must be old then.
Sure this might be a turning point in games and required OS levels, but I don't have to like it, and still have endless games, even ones released today (apparently old) to play.

What are people doing on their pc's if they still dont trust or use windows 10... sorry, but its about time to upgrade. 5 YEARS after release. Win7 really is not any better or more stable than 10. I have been around since MS-DOS days so ive seen my fair share of OS changes and all their iterations. Ugh, i hope these people are trolls or else they are stuck in the past like a pair of boomers.
