So what is the best choice to play this game on Normal or Hard?

I heard people saying the harder game is the more vallue you get from combats and overall gameplay. Is it true?

Personal preference. Do you want the game to be challenging? Up the difficulty. Only care about the story? Play on normal. There's nothing to gain outside of an extra challenge by upping the difficulty.

If you plan on playing NG+ with the Ultra-Hard mode to unlock the exclusive stuff, I would suggest Hard to get yourself more accustomed to the difficulty.

Hard is VERY VERY hard in this game. If it is your first time, I recommend Normal

Difficulty affects the amount of damage Aloy does and receive's nothing else changes, Ultra Hard difficulty (only available after you finish the game once) changes AI behaviour, merchant prices and item availability .. Play on whichever difficulty during your first run because there is one achievement related to NG+ Ultra Hard difficulty completion ..

This is assuming that the devs haven't changed any game mechanics/ achievements for the PC release ..

play ultra hard if you like stealth ,because u 1 shot everything with stealth except boss and scripted enemy.i saw a streamer on twitch name cohhcarnage play ultra hard on pc yesterday and the game was so easy for him.

PS4 player here with Normal clear.
Normal is actually on the easy side, even if you don't upgrade pouches constantly and don't buy the best armors when available you will pretty soon master all enemy types.
Combat machines are challenging on any difficulty but they become cakewalks once you're near endgame and are armed to the teeth.
If you're gonna play on normal don't get the shield weaver. It will trivialize anything the game throws at you.
Hard is recommended but be wary of the Frozen Wilds content, which is hard as nails even on Normal. Happy hunting :3
