i prefer kb m for most games, unless 3rd person running about etc... like this.. but then shooting.... ♥♥♥, need mouse again
so game like this mkb but death stranding works better on controller until i have to shoot many
Go for K&M
Played the PS4 version with controller and it sucks for most of the intense fighting.
Edit: seems quotes aren't displaying properly
KB M is best. I played on PS4 Pro originally and its way better on PC. Mouse aiming is more accurate, more responsive, and you are more mobile as you can turn 180 degrees way faster than using a pad.
I'm a man of taste, I like to play my controller style games on a 100hz ultrawide, whilst I chat on Discord, and have whatever additional stuff I need on my 2nd and 3rd screens, probably whilst playing music on Spotify from my PC to the amp in the living room.
Since when does your choice of input denote the platform you play on?
I have a sim-rig with VR, a HOTAS setup and a Fanatec wheel and pedals, should I play Elite Dangerous and Project cars on console because I use peripherals, rather than KB/M?
With such a fast paced combat and needing to aim so precise I would not even survive sticking to joystick lol.
Can you explain how you do that? In particular all the buttons on the joypad that you cannot reach with only the left hand (eg RB, RT and the 4 usual letter buttons).
Edit: I have tried it with an Xbox controller, but I cannot seem to use both reliably at the same time. That is, the moment I use the gamepad for movement, moving the mouse will not influence camera movement. I first have to click a button on the mouse (so that the game thinks I switch to KBM) and then I can move the camera. But the moment I use the gamepad again to move, the mouse movement is unresponsive.
Please help if you can. Your idea sounds intriguing.
I'm curious as well. I have a Razer Tartarus v2 that's capable of analog input. But the game sees it as a controller and disables my mouse. How do you get it to work with both?
The controls are very well optimised with a controller (xbox wireless) and work just as well as with ps4. However, considering how well some things are optimised for controllers playing with keyboard and mouse is even better, i would recommend using a K&M for this game personally (even tho I played Red dead 2 with the controller). I find controller for aiming in FPS is awful, but sometimes games with bows are not too bad, but this def works better with K&M, easy to hit that head shot every time.
Edit: It also helps if you have a mouse with excess buttons to which you can map keys, makes life easier.
So i use my xbox one controller while travelling (i don't fast travel) and keyboard and mouse while in combat.
