It's really easy to google.
For HZD it'll not be different. I'll play it on a controller for sure.
I don't know if you noticed or had the trouble to read it but he asked what would we prefer. I'm pretty sure google can't answer that for him, unless it has some new feature of reading minds of everyone in the world...
It's also camera turn speed.
It takes over a second to spin around in the middle of a busy fight while aiming on console, then longer to find your target.
But on mouse, it should be more like a quarter of a second or less.
That's literally a game changer - both in combat, and sneaking.
That means even when the acceleration from the stick is up - you just hit the max turn speed quicker.
1. Is the game Need4Speed clone or another driving simulator? If yes, mushrooms.
2. Do you aim with weapons in the game? If yes, K+M.
Simple as that.
Perspective has nothing to do with it, it can be top down for all I care.
There's lots of alternative equivalents of a mouse.
The key characteristic though is the direct method of pointing - 1:1 movement to action, where each little move of the pointer equals a very predictable amount of movement in the game.
That's why mouse acceleration is so bad - it takes away the predictability of being able to aim exactly where you move - whether that's with your hand (mouse) your thumb (trackball), or any other movement - like with a Steam controller set to mouse mode, a trackpad, or your gyro control device.
For some reason, lots of Japanese developers, and console-focused developers seem to love, love, LOVE to put mouse acceleration by default into their games, then leave off a method of disabling it - making controls feel like a joystick... which I never understood, since very few people like it, and it's always the hugest complaint.
That, and motion blur.
That's why it's beneficial to wait for actual gameplay outside company videos are available - usually after release, so you can know in cases like this. Preordering without that is just asking for annoyance.
