Mobile game? ARPG or Hack & Slash?

If the publisher is called 'PlayStation MOBILE, Inc.', for some reason I can't shake the feeling this is going to be yet another game made for mobile devices ported to PC with all the problems that usually entails.

Also, the 'Action RPG' label is always a red flag. Actual action role-playing games like TES 3+, Fallout 3+, Gothic series, VTM:B, Witcher series, Deus Ex, etc. get confused with a genre that split off from the ARPG genre 20 years ago and is called 'hack and slash games'. Classic examples are Diablo, Titan Quest, Torchlight, etc. Such games often get the 'ARPG' tag anyway. I watched the videos but they tell me nothing about the gameplay, they're pretty much all cinematic and what little possible gameplay is shown, could go either way.

So, is this game 1) going to be a port from mobile devices?; 2) going to be a hack and slash game rather than an action RPG? I would like to hear from people other than 'fanboys' please, as I think it's extremely strange this game has such an adamant group of fans insulting everyone who's just asking questions about a game before it's even released so before they could even be an actual fan of the game...

Ok, thanks, that's interesting to know as I don't own a PS4 and know nothing about that console's games, but it doesn't really answer my questions: did it originate as a mobile game and is it more of a hack & slash game than an RPG?

dude do you live under a rock ? if you dont know this game dont call yourself a gamer.... even i dont own a ps4 and i still know the game this game is popular and a amazing/beautifull game

Hehe, no offense taken I like your light-touch approach as opposed to some adamant fans who bash on everyone who even dares to question anything about this game. Now I know why, because it has a history on PS4, I gather. Still doesn't mean they should assume every PC gamer should know about it, of course.

I've not been living under a rock, no, but I do have a job leaving me (way too) little time for gaming. It's just that this game popped up in my queue and it looks like an ARPG and it has that tag, but as I said all hack & slash games get tagged ARPG without a fault. Pretty much all games get tagged RPG these days on Steam. When people see Super Mario Bros, they think "mkay, you play the role of a plumber who's on a quest to save a princess => RPG!!" It gets a bit frustrating for us RPG lovers after a while
