Why is it literally double the price?
Question, why is the game literally double the price on pc? £15.99 on PS4, £32 here, both are complete editions.

Edit: It's £39.99 now???????????

Perhaps because developers required countless hours to bring it into open platform. Not to mention advertisements and cost of hosting their game in online distro.

are you sure the smaller price isn't just for the base game? this version has all of the DLC included

its 2.5 x the price in the US. and that is just comparing MSRP but the PS4 version can be had for much cheaper on sales or even just 7.50 on a reputable key site.

why not do 10 seconds of research? there is NO base game since the DLC came out a couple years ago.

So basically the game is coded on a PC, extra code is added to make it work ONLY on the PS4 and then they need to figure out how to make it work on PC. That's why it costs more on PC. Unless they programmed this on a PS4 using a controller and I'm unaware of it.

I see a brand-new game that costs 50 $ instead of 60. I play on pc, not on playstation.

It was made using a developer kit so that they can work on a PC whilst developing it for the PS4 system. So yes it was "Made on a PC" but that doesn't mean its compatible.

Also you're grossly overlooking the fact that the PS4 is one hardware and software system. Meanwhile PC games are a huge range of different software and hardware options and combinations - from different manufacturers and designers. All that requires testing and adjusting. It's a huge amount of additional work and much of it won't be finished until after the game launches (because even with internal testing they won't catch everything becasue the number of combinations is too great). The same as any PC game release.

Except that's not how it works.
PS4 has a different architecture, and graphics library than that of PC, more specifically Windows.
Just becasue it is coded on a PC doesn't imply it should automatically work on a PC as well.
Thing is PS4 uses a modified Unix-like kernel(FreeBSD 9).
So "technically" the game is written for Unix-like systems not Windows.
But being released on Windows which again has a different architecture and graphics library than PS4's OS. So it is not as you claim it to be.

Just be glad they aren't charging £55 like some of the latest and upcoming releases

Because the playstation version has a playstation hits discount. since playstation hits discount doesn't exist on steam the game comes out with its original price tag.

Actually its pretty cheap considering most games which are ported from console a few years later are sold full price.

Nintendo does this on their console with old ports all the time.
Hell, Look at EA on Steam right now! 20 bucks for an 11 yo game THAT WAS ALREADY ON STEAM!
At least this game is legit good.
